Service: Our party had the most wonderful time at my 70th Birthday Celebration ! The Degustation Menu was outstanding as were the matching wines ! Our waiter Elmer was wonderful and very very attentive and such a pleasant man... thank you Elmer for making our cruise so very enjoyable !! The lady singer was exceptional too and we had so much fun dancing !
So a huge thank you to Captain Cook Cruises and all those involved for making my Birthday a night to remember !!

Everything was sound, except our group of 15 was split over two tables. This was not ideal and this was not communicated to me prior. I understand you cannot necessarily change the table arrangement, but I would have preferred this was communicated to me beforehand so I could have sought out another provider who could accommodate I larger group on one table. It was also difficult to see through the windows when the interior lights were on which detracted from the experience.

Service: This was our third time joining Gold Penfolds dinner cruise and it was not as enjoyable as the 2 previous times. There was no ambience, your staff was flat with no personality and the music was poor.

Service: I paid 39 dollar per person to drank 2 beers because the time of the trips was very short and the crew always press us to eat fast order fast , all fast.

Service: One in our group has mobility issues and the crew member Zaki i think his name was was curteous and happy to wait for 5 minutes. The staff onboard were very curteous and professional. Loved every moment of this cruise and will be taking other visitors as well.

Service: Wonderful food and very attentive staff!
Product: It was a little expensive. I would have liked to have been sat at a window as there was only one couple seated there. We were in an aisle near the wait station.

Service: The food and service was very good as per our previous Captain Cook dinner cruises. Everyone in our party enjoyed the Penfolds wine choices.
The only negative was the timing. We had only just begun to enjoy the city views with our sparkling wine and canapes when we were summoned to go down to our table inside. Our overseas guests would probably have enjoyed the cruise even more if they had been on deck a little longer. An extra half hour for the overall dinner cruise would have allowed for a better experience.

Service: 4 of 6 courses were delivered totally wrong and when explained to waitress she could not understand. My entree was meant to be ravioli but received warm salad salad. My main was meant to be duck and I got chicken. Due to lack of understanding from waitress none was corrected and I ended up eating incorrect meals. Same also happened to my wife. Have cruised with u before both in Australia and Fiji and really enjoyed but this has ruined that fond memories I had previously. Very poor

We had a wonderful experience even though it was a rainy and cloudy evening. The service was amazing and the staff was exceptional. Our food was excellent and we had an enjoyable night. W were impressed at how tasty the food was and everything was served hot. We knew there was a time limit but we never felt rushed at all. The music was a nice touch.

We would absolutely recommend this.

We booked the Captains Dinner Cruise for a family dinner to celebrate my daughter’s 18th. We thoroughly enjoyed the night. The ambiance was great, the food and service was very good . There was a nice choice of dishes to order.
The entertainment was enjoyable, a solo singer and accompanying pianist. All in all we had a lovely evening and would highly recommend this cruise

Service: From beginning to end our experience was great. Our waiter, the view from our window table, the music and the food was delicious. After diner we took our glass of wine to the top deck where we enjoyed returning to Darling Harbour. Would recommend to anyone visiting Sydney.

Service: We had a little stressful situation as the girl at the check in told us that kids meal aren't available on this cruise. We were surprise as we called to be sure they will be available. But everything in the boat was perfect and we had kids meal.

Service: A group of 15 came from Dubbo to see a production at Riverside Theatre. Everything abnout the trip was excellent and the Captain Cook Cruise finished off the perfect trip. Food was perfect, The Polish singer had a lovely voice, Your staff I couldn't fault. The ship did not feel like it was even going, the weather perfect. What else could you ask for.

Service: The cruise was very nice. The service was very very good on board with the serving of the dinner and our party of 12 all stated the food was excellent. We paid for the guareented window seating and additional $25 each person but in actuaillity
it was really unnecessary because we were seated with 6 persons at each table extending away from the windows. The view was good for all but NOT FOR $25 ADDITIONAL COST PER PERSON. I recommend not paying for the guareented window seating. The view is equally as good wherever you sit .

All good BUT......it was a real rush at the end, eat your sweet, drink up we are back at circular quay, without that rush at the end (which did spoil a good night) we would be 4/5 stars. You must sort that bit as we all want to relax after dinner.......no excuses now!

Like all of Australia, there is never any pressure to tip our staff and this is left to the discretion of our customers. An announcement is always provided to customers to allow ample time to disembark our cruise at their destination. Our Captains Dinner doesn’t provide commentary, as this would interfere with the great music and ambience provided. The food was excellent but the customer service I thought was poor, after initially taking our meal and drinks selections we weren't asked again about ordering more drinks so that was a missed opportunity to make money and our water was not topped up again until the end of the night, on our level half the tables were empty so I am not sure where the staff went in between service. That said the staff were lovely and very friendly,

The other criticisms I have are poor timing for food, I thought it was very strange that our entrees came up before we had even picked up the remaining guests at Barangaroo, the food also came out too quickly so it made the cruise feel very long.

Waiting staff were polite & attentive; the entrees & deserts were good. The main meals were dull in both presentation & taste. I have taken this dinner cruise with my family a number of times & found that the entertainment has not changed much over the years. A good singer & band but putting out the same dated songs that did not inspire any dancing.

Service: While the service and cruise are 5 star, the actual food and beverages could be a lot better. portions were small, and it appeared to be a limit on how much wine we consumed. We had a party of 7 persons and I think we had 2 bottles of wine and two glasses of wine for one person who choose a different wine, two of our party do not drink, and had Diet Coke or water, and when one asked for tea they were told it was extra and had to pay for it.
There was no coffee offered at the end of the meal, nor was there chocolates or cheeseboard.
Frankly for the price I paid I would expect a much better meal and it appeared the wine was limited. Value for money ? Frankly Disappointing for the overall cost.

Boarding team mixed up our reservation and thought we were on an earlier cruise. The wait staff handled the mix up relatively well considering our very large group number and multiple wheelchairs. It was a shame that all the guests were forced to have the steak. We paid extra to make sure the meals were halal, but we didn't realise that would stunt out options. This hasn't happened in the past. Otherwise an enjoyable evening.

Service: The Captain Cook's cruise was excellent. The 3 course meal was of restaurant quality. Steak for main course was cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and service was efficient. A welcoming drink was enjoyed and the photo taken during the cruise was very good and well priced. Furthermore there was great entertainment and needless to say as always an enjoyment being on one of the most picturesque harbours in the world. Excellent value for money.

Service: I was a bit disappointed with menu- We had one child in our party and was told there was no kids menu left. She was the only child on the boat and this would have been known by bookings.
We also had the premium bar package which only allowed us one choice of white and red wine. On print out on website there are 6 whites and 5 reds to choose from/

To Caption Cook Cruises, the Starlight Dinner is was great and good opportunity to see the Australia Day fireworks. But had 4 items that were disappointing, first being the Sauvignon wine was not available and second was the 150 Lashes beer was not available either, which then was replaced with Little Creatures Pale Ale. It was disappointing to have ordered both and later to find out they weren't available, it had made it complicated with our international family who couldn't speak English. Third is the staff placing food on the sofa as place to temporarily store, it wasn't the best sight to see that our food is waiting on a sofa instead of somewhere more applicable like a dedicated table. Lastly was our wedding announcement done by the band was organised almost at the end that it wasn't worth to be announced, as most guests had left from the first departure stop. Could understand that the staff were quite busy and felt that the management by Caption Cook Cruises could have been better organised.

Service: The service was unbelievable. Our steward Joe was amazing. The one big downside was a woman named Julie at the check in. We ask if there was a possibiliry of and upgrade to a window seat. She clicked away a her computer and finally said yes. That wil be $50. We paid cash. No receipt. She wrotr window on our tickets all good. When we got on board there were only 12-14 people. We would have had a window seat anyway!

Service: The staff tried to give customer service to their knowledge ability. They had poor knowledge of the drinks they were pouring, some that asked for bourbon got malibu, some that asked for bacardi got bundaberg UP rum, some that asked for scotch got Jack Daniels. This was a penfolds gold dinner and the lack of knowledge of penfolds wines was extraordinary by the servers, my bottle shop staff were telling them what they should have been telling their customers. It was definitely a display of lack of product knowledge and considering the tickets were over $200 each person I expected more. The food was extremely small and basic for the cost and the chefs laying on the steps in between service wasn't exactly the best look health wise nor any other reason. The only positives were that the boat was clean and the views were great, could have got better value and service on a river cat.
Product: Poor value for what you get especially with the lack of knowledge.

Service: Non-refundable tickets with no cooling off period even if its more than two weeks before the event?!?!?! We had 10 staff, one had to pull out and we couldn't get a refund or credit at all! $130 wasted and we advised captain cook cruise with more than 14 days notice. I have read the policy but it is a bad one!! We wouldn't book again, based solely on the rigid (is it even legal?) refund policy...at least a credit towards another cruise or towards next year would have been good business
Product: Cruise was good, alcohol and entertainment was good. Sample menu showed Christmas dinner but was disappointed to find it was pretty sub par - apart from the seafood which unfortunately I don't eat. I would have liked to have a proper Christmas dinner with turkey, ham, chicken etc given it was a Christmas cruise. Instead it was odd unappealing stir-fry's and plain uninviting salads

Lovely craft, pleasant staff.
Meal was pleasant but portions small. We had one canape on the upper deck because we were then ushered downstairs and nothing else was offered whilst we were seated.
Wines were disappointing, half glasses and we couldn't get a soft drink.
When coffee arrived we had docked so had to leave.
Overall a poor experience, not worth the money and all very rushed.

Service: Food was dissapointing. Should have been better presented and more variety. Should have been a better spread for a Christmas buffet. Especially for$139. Service was very slow and we were forced to get up and order our own drinks which took too long as well. Not to mention they didnt even have ice buckets to have wine on the table.

Service: The staff on the boat were great, the office staff and telephone staff were not as helpful. No communication why the boat was late.
Product: The service was great but some of the cuisine was very average. The lamb was cold and not very tender, the same for the beef.

Service: Amazing service, all the staff were friendly & efficient. We booked the Penfolds Gold dinner cruise. I would very highly recommend this for anyone but perfect for a special occasion
Product: Everything was perfect. Website was easy to navigate. Instructions at Circular Quay by the staff were great, canapés on top deck were amazing with the wonderful views of the harbour. Food was excellent & there was plenty of it & we really enjoyed the way the wines were paired with the meals. Service was great. We booked & paid extra for a window table, which even tho' there were not all that many people on board, was definitely worth the extra cost as the harbour lights just added to the experience. The only downside (& it was minor) was the piano player was just a tiny bit too loud.

A truly memorable experience & one we will repeat. Couldn't recommend it highly enough

Service: It was the most memorable experience it couldn't be better for my 70th birthday. The staff were wonderful so obliging obviously well trained. Coming from Perth it was quite an experience staff aren't so helpful here. We spent a week in Sydney and it was the highlight of the trip. The food was to die for the steak OMG wonderful.
Product: The best service and food ever. Certainly good chefs on that cruise.
