What will I see on a Vivid Sydney cruise?
A Vivid Sydney cruise showcases the full canvas of Vivid Sydney Lights across the harbour, including Circular Quay, The Rocks and Darling Harbour. Enjoy views of the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge and city skyline illuminated in colour, along with light installations along the foreshore.
Do all cruises include the Vivid Sydney Drone Show and Fireworks?
No. Select Vivid Sydney Cruises include either the Drone Show or the Fireworks. These cruises are timed around scheduled performances, while other Vivid Sydney Lights cruises focus on sightseeing and harbour illumination.
What is the Vivid Sydney Drone Show?
The Vivid Sydney Drone Show is a highlight of the festival, featuring up to 1,000 synchronised drones creating animated light displays above Sydney Harbour. It runs on select nights and is best experienced as part of a dedicated Vivid Sydney Lights and Drone Show cruise.
When are the fireworks
Organised by Captain Cook Cruises and the Australian Commercial Marine Group, a fireworks display will dazzle over a special location on Sydney Harbour, at 8:00pm on most Thursday and Friday nights during Vivid Sydney. The fireworks are only visible from the water aboard select official Vivid Light vessels and aboard Captain Cook Cruises you'll have front row seats.
Where do Vivid Sydney cruises depart from?
Captain Cook Cruises operates Vivid Sydney cruises from Darling Harbour and Manly. Your departure location will be confirmed at time of booking.

How early should I arrive before departure?
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure to allow time for check-in and boarding. Late arrivals may miss the cruise as vessels cannot be held.
