City Departures and transport to King St Wharf

  • All cruises departing from the city, leave from Darling Harbour King Street Wharves 1, 2 or 4
  • Directions
  • King St Wharf is an 8-minute undercover walk from Wynyard train station and bus stops
  • King St Wharf is a 12-minute walk from Barangaroo metro station

  • Please note there are no Circular Quay evening departures during Vivid

Your Boarding Pass

  • Your Reservation Record can be found as an attachment in your booking confirmation email
  • Please have your Reservation Record (which includes your boarding passes) ready to present in either print or digital format at your departure wharf

Arrival & Boarding Times for City Departures

  • We recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to cruise departure time
  • Please ensure you are ready at your appropriate boarding flag at least 15 minutes prior
  • Boarding will commence 10-30 minutes prior to departure

Seating

  • All Vivid Dinner Cruises have pre-assigned seating
  • All Vivid Lights Cruises are general admission

Rooftop Access

  • Marine guidelines require rooftop access to be restricted to a limited number of passengers at any time for the safety of all
  • Select cruises may offer guaranteed Rooftop Access at additional charge which will be shown on your boarding pass if applicable

Groups

  • If you are travelling in a group, please do not board the vessel until all your group has arrived
  • Groups of 10 or more from the City – we recommend your group organiser please check-in at our ticket office at King St Wharf No.1

  • Beverages are available for purchase on all licensed vessels (excluding Rocket Catamarans)

Drone Shows and Fireworks

  • Drone show & Fireworks are subject to weather conditions - if cancelled the cruise will continue to operate for Vivid Light viewing only.

Accessibility & Bathrooms

IMPORTANT - Please contact our Reservation Department prior to cruise if you are in a wheelchair or cannot manage stairs

  • Not all vessels are wheelchair accessible and the final vessel may not be confirmed until the day of departure.
  • We therefore recommend customers in wheelchairs cruise aboard our flagship Sydney 2000, seating on the expansive Ocean Deck
  • Available cruises on Sydney 2000 during Vivid include 5pm Sunset Dinner, 7pm Starlight Dinner, 7pm Gold Dinner and 7pm Gold Dinners.
  • On arrival, please approach one of our team members at the wharf. Priority boarding will be available for you and ONE accompanying guest wherever possible
  • Sydney 2000 - Ocean Deck is fully accessible with wheelchair bathrooms. Access to other decks is via stairwells
  • Captain Cook III - fully accessible to the entry level deck. Access to the upper deck is via stairwell
  • Starship Sydney - not suitable for wheelchairs
  • Starship Aqua - not suitable for wheelchairs
  • Twin Deck Rockets - fully accessible to the entry level deck. Access to the upper deck is via stairwell. However Manly Wharf 3 access is by stairs only.
  • Single Deck Rockets - fully accessible to the main deck
  • Sydney Crystal - not suitable for wheelchairs
  • King St Wharf Bathrooms - there are wheelchair accessible public bathrooms located directly behind King St Wharf No.1 at Exchange Place on Shelley St – Google Maps Exchange Place
