A reimagined dining and drink experience on Sydney Harbour

It is fair to say that 2020 has been a challenging year of many firsts. A year for reinvention and reimagination for all businesses that operate in travel or hospitality.

But for those of us Sydney, the greatest city in the world, we’re used to the constant innovation in these industries which is both a necessity and a badge of honour.

For 50 years Captain Cook Cruises has been the first choice for Sydney Harbour experiences. Our pedigree and our experience speak for themselves. We are now excited to launch a completely redesigned waterfront restaurant and bar experience for our local and interstate guests.

Sydney Harbour Bar and Waterfront Restaurant

Our new Harbour Bar & Restaurant (HB&R) range represents the recognisable shift in the way people enjoy and experience our beautiful Harbour. Over the last decade, the Harbour has become more than just a setting for a meal and a gorgeous sunset dinner. It’s also a unique gathering place for friends and family at any time of the day or the year. Our family restaurant with a view and all-day bar on the water.

All the incredible elements that have become synonymous with our premium restaurants have been retained including expansive windows and endless vistas of a glowing Sydney CBD. Our Premium Dining range continues to offer the very best dinner cruises, lunch cruises and high tea experiences available on Sydney Harbour. Our Gold Penfolds Dinner Cruise takes dining to a whole new level either as a romantic dinner or culinary experience. Private dining rooms are available for groups and or those who want to impress.

The new Harbour Bar and Harbour Restaurant casual dining experiences add a totally new carefree dimension and are in tune with our city’s famous rooftop bars, it’s heritage pubs, wine bars, and the relaxed waterfront bars and restaurants which are so intertwined in Sydney’s unique DNA.

Sydney Harbour Waterfront Bar and Restaurant

Our new menus feature the freshest Australian produce, sourced locally and prepared simply. Most are designed for you to enjoy in a 90-minute sitting, while other luxury dining experiences such as the 6-course degustation and wine pairing are best enjoyed over a few hours. After lunch or dinner, we encourage guests to stay as long as they like in our Harbour Bar where they can let the conversation (and the drinks) flow and leave it to us to ensure the good times roll on.

For seafood lovers, our fresh prawns, scallops and barramundi are a must and for carnivores the local eye fillet steak has often been described by our passengers as the “best steak in Sydney”. Vegetarian and gluten free items are also available, and the kid’s menu is sure to please the developing palette.

Flexibility is at the heart of the new experiences aboard our signature vessel, Sydney 2000. The Harbour Restaurant is open from 12 noon until 10.30pm, stopping regularly at both King Street Wharf Darling Harbour and Circular Quay to collect guests in 90 to 120-minute sittings.

Harbour Restaurant Dinner Cruises and Lunch Cruises

Aboard the new Harbour Bar, our experienced bartenders will tempt you with a range of Australian wine, craft beer and Sydney-inspired cocktails including our signature Southerly Busta Iced Tea Mojito.

This absolute waterfront bar is the perfect relaxed spot for a casual dinner with friends before a night out in the city. Or grab a relaxed lunch in our Harbour Restaurant and spend the rest of your afternoon in the Harbour Bar drinking Australian sparkling wine with friends while sharing one of our local cheese grazing plates.

This flexible dining and drinking experience is unlike any other on the Harbour and is akin to Sydney’s first ever floating pub crawl and gastro pub.

This is a waterfront restaurant and a bar which has been completely reimagined. So, grab your mates, lock in an afternoon together and meet the crew at King Street Wharf Darling Harbour or Circular Quay. We’ll take care of the rest!
