Circular Quay Wharf 6 Temporary Closure
20 July – 28 August 2026
Due to NSW Maritime wharf upgrade works, vessel access to Circular Quay Wharf 6 will be temporarily closed from Monday 20 July to Friday 28 August 2026 (inclusive).
All Cruises Continue to Operate
- There are no cancellations as a result of these works. Captain Cook Cruises vessels will continue to operate as scheduled from alternative departure locations within Circular Quay.
The Captain Cook Cruises Ticket Office at Circular Quay Wharf 6 will remain open throughout the closure period.

Temporary Departure Locations
- During the closure period, cruises will depart from one of two nearby locations:
Located approximately 400 metres (5-minute flat walk) towards the Sydney Opera House from Wharf 6.

Located approximately 170 metres (2-minute flat walk) towards the Sydney Harbour Bridge from Wharf 6. Please note: Commissioner's Steps are not wheelchair accessible.

Check-In Information
Where necessary, guests may check in as follows:
- Eastern Pontoon Departures
- At the wharf from 30 minutes prior to departure
- Earlier at the Captain Cook Cruises office at Circular Quay Wharf 6

- At the Captain Cook Cruises office at Circular Quay Wharf 6
We recommend allowing extra time when arriving at Circular Quay and following temporary signage to your departure location.
Darling Harbour Departures
- All Darling Harbour departures and arrivals continue to operate as normal and are not affected by these works.
