Turn Sydney Harbour Pink on Wednesday 12th October 2016
Join Ambassador and Director of the McGrath Foundation, Tracy Bevan, on Sydney Harbour for this very special High Tea at Sea cruise in support of the McGrath Foundation. Cruise aboard Sydney’s most prestigious cruise ship MV Sydney 2000 at shared tables of ten, and enjoy a delectable assortment of sweet and savoury treats, pink bubbles, wine, tea and coffee, plus the chance to win great prizes.
Captain Cook Cruises launched Turn Sydney Harbour Pink in 2013, in support of the McGrath Foundation and this year’s event promises to be even bigger. According to Captain Cook Cruises, General Manager, Anthony Haworth, ”This is the third time Captain Cook Cruises has turned Sydney Harbour pink for the McGrath Foundation and we couldn’t be more excited to help raise money for this wonderful cause.” Fifty percent of ticket sales will go directly to the McGrath Foundation to help fund Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia and to increase breast awareness in young Australians, with a particular emphasis on young women. Captain Cook Cruises is also donating over $3000 in lucky door prizes to give away during the cruise.

The McGrath Foundation
Jane McGrath’s personal experience has seen a team of passionate and dedicated people come together and step up to the challenge of making life for families experiencing breast cancer just that little bit easier. Until there is a cure for breast cancer, the McGrath Foundation is committed to providing as much support as it can for families facing a breast cancer experience through the funding of McGrath Breast Care Nurses nationally, no matter where they live or their financial situation.
In addition, Jane’s diagnosis at just 31 made her passionate about encouraging young women to be breast aware by knowing their breasts and being aware of any changes. Again, from this inspiration, the McGrath Foundation has now developed the innovative Curve Lurve program which focuses on empowering young women to look after their bodies, know what’s normal for them and take action that promotes their own health and wellbeing, while at the same time debunking common community myths.
