The sunset dinner cruise is such a great idea for giving visitors an experience of the harbour in both daylight & evening when all the lights come on. We have taken a number of people on this cruise & they were all very impressed.

The Premium Beverage Package we purchased was slightly deceiving as it did not state Premium Wine Package(which is really what it is) and because it stated Beverage we thought the bar would be included. any liquor drinks were not included. and so it was not any savings over purchasing the Premium package. The food and service were EXCELLENT!

Was definitely not worth the money!!!!!! Entree consisted if 2 prawns and a lettuce leaf. Very underwhelming. Also the music was very old, not suitable for a younger crowd. We had a 21st birthday snd found the atmosphere boring and dull. Would not reccomemd

This about the 7th time we've done this dinner cruise. The food and wine were great but it felt very rushed. My own fault though, as I have done it so many times I didn't realise that it finished earlier during non-daylight savings time. I'll be sure to book during daylight savings for future dinners so we have time to enjoy the top deck.

Service: We are gold members of Captain Cook and have done the Dinner Cruise numerous times. This time we were thoroughly disappointed with our experience.
Firstly, we paid extra a window seat and extra for standard bar drinks. Also at time of booking, my wifes food allergies were mentioned.
To our surprise, basic spirit drinks were not included in this package which previously they had. Even coffee and tea was not covered, which should be complimentary anyway considering the cost of the tickets.
Secondly, after being seated we studied the menu and selected our meals. When it came to ordering, my wife wanted to order the Salmon dishes for entree and main,however, the waitress looked perplex,and said there was no Salmon on the menu. After investigating with the kitchen staff it was discovered old menus were put out,not really good enough excuse from a professional organization.
Thirdly,when my wife's main meal came out it had potatoes on it which was one of her allergies again not good enough in this day and age.

We will now be very reluctant to do this dinner cruise again or recommend it to our family and friends.

Service: Lovely view from the upper floor of the cruise ship. Food and wine very good. Service excellent with dancing and the most gorgeous views of Sydney Harbour at night seen through large glass windows. A must for visitors. Very elegant ambience.

Service: While the MV Cadman was a nice vessel, the fact the lower deck was empty meant staff were lingering about down there on their phones and not appearing very helpful. Our waiter was not very good, service rushed and food not in line with what we would consider a Gold experience. Capatin Cook should reassess this cruise product to ensure it is value for money.
Product: As mentioned previously, our group did not feel the food matched the price tag.

Service: Vivid on Captain Cook Cruises was a very poor experience and would not recommend that anyone take this dinner cruise in th e future.
The drink package whilst offering two styles of beer only offered one style of white and one style of red - unfortunately I enjoy Chardonnay not the sweet white offered and so was required to pay additional. Our main meal - table of 4 - did not arrive even after repeated requests to staff whose standard reply was “ not part of my order , you’ll just need to wait. Eventually as staff were clearing tables the “ light came on” - I’m terribly sorry your order must have been overlooked. “ . We eventually/got it but it was not what we ordered however accepted what was given as there was no other choice. As we were in a middle isle for seating we’re not able to see much in the Vivid lightshow - especially when all internal lighting was on full . Majority of passengers long finished their meal ventured on top deck for a better view. By the time we could do the same the boat was only doing cart wheels in middle Harbour - not much of Vivid was happening there.
Product: All said above -
Poor choice for drink package whilst meals OK however we had to ask at least 4 times before staff realised order had been lost in the system .

Given the lack lustre and very defensive response , obviously this company only wants to receive positive feedback . Unfortunately I am not able to reduce the rating to zero.

Service: When we first got on the boat the food started coming never had a chance to drink our champagne and we had new glasses of wine then another entree another wine it was ridiculous. We had no time to try the wines so we were backed up on wine forgetting what they were. But our beautiful waitress saw we were struggling and she held back our main and dessert.
We felt it should have been more planned out and more time like till at least 10pm.
Very rushed Sad !!!!! As we were really looking forward to it.

We were so looking forward to this Vivid dinner cruise.

I have already emailed Captain Cook Cruises 2 days after we arrived home from our Vivid dinner cruise to advised how unhappy we were with the night, especially as this was our 3rd dinner cruise with the company.

Firstly, the cruise boat left Darling Harbour and cruised around to Circular Quay where it sat at the Quay for a good 8-10 minutes. On our reservation ticket it did mention during Vivid no boardings etc would apply from the Quay. So how come after dinner we again stopped at the Quay to allow passengers to disembark.

Our table was a window table at the front of the boat (I paid an extra $50 for the table) and all we could see was the wharf. Secondly, the food served was not up to expectations. The entrée was cold couscous, a very few sultanas with kale, almost inedible. My husband had the chicken and said it was extremely tough, I had the salmon and it was under cooked. We do not complain as a rule, just like to let Captain Cook Cruises know how we saw the night and how our expectations were dashed.

The table service was great from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour then the service went downhill. Try to get drinks and our main meal after receiving our entree almost as soon as the cruize began then 1 hour at leat to the main meal. Then when it come we had no mushroom sauce on our beef? Had to chase waiter again

Service: This was our third Vivid Cruise and we thoroughly recommend it. However, service on this occasion was not as thoughtful, or fast as in previous years.
Product: Everything was great, but a delay in the main meal somehow resulted in very overcooked, dry vegetables. There was also quite a wait for desert, so this was a bit disappointing. However, the experience was a good one, with an excellent table location.

Service: We were very lucky to win a competition through Sydney Weekender! Thank you to Captain Cook Cruises for a wonderful evening we enjoyed our delicious 3 course meal. Served by an accommodating waitress who made sure we had everything we needed.
We enjoyed the atmosphere of the boat and took fantastic photos of the vivid lights from the top deck. We talked to the couples closest to us who were visiting from Japan, New Zealand and Italy. The ride was smooth and the band entertainment were amazing.
We will be back next year and will pay for a ticket with our family highly recommend!!!

Service: This is our first visit into the city during Vivid and what a wonderful experience. We thought the Vivid Sunset cruise was great value and weren't disappointed about any aspect. The 3 course set menu was excellent as were the staff who all did a great job. After a tour around the harbour while dinner was served we arrived in the Quay exactly as the lights came on at 6pm.
Product: We booked online for the Vivid Sunset Cruise and Whale Watching. Unfortunately the Tuesday we'd booked was cancelled due to atrocious weather. As we had come into the city especially for your Vivid Sunset Cruise we popped into your Darling Harbour shop and were able to change both bookings around. So many thanks for making what was appearing to be a disaster into an experience we thoroughly enjoyed.

Service: We thought that the staff where very nice especially the young girl that served us. the Women in charge of the placements we thought was a little sharp. We asked to be shifted to a window seat that was empty and they refused. Ok but we had asked when booking if this could happen as I have knee issues and didn't want to be outside all night. Of which we did do because stuck in the middle was visually blocked. The food was nice but I thought you could of done a bigger choice for the price. I understand you have to make it work for the price but it was a little minimal for the price that you pay. The wine selection was adequate even though the chardonnay was awful they willing exchange it. We where pleased with that. Disappointed with the Dunsborough Chardonnay as I come from that region and know the wonderful wines in that area. In say that we where very happy with the trip and thank you for giving us a wonderful night during Vivid. We will remember it and recommend it again to others and come ourselves again.

Service: This is my 4th year in a row had the vivid sun set dinner cruise. Three course meal is the same every year. First two years we had salmon for entree but now only had salad ! Disappointed that coffee and tea still not be provided after dessert which feel like something missing. Overall still a very pleasant journal and the waitress served us is very polite.

Service: It was very good with nice food, good table service and friendly waiteses until I got out to the deck after finishing our dinner.
There are cooks seating on the steps and smoking while I was passing by with my kids.
I don't know whether it is illegal but it is not right to smoke in front of customers. At least they could wait until we are off. It is only 1 and half hours.

Service: We had a wonderful evening with a fantastic front of boat window table, classy food and and engaging waitress who made us feel so special.

The missing star relates to some photography that was happening on the deck above. A very ‘important’ light holder decided that it was a good idea to hold a flood light in front of our table to illuminate the ‘special’ models being photographed. Consequently, for some time our view of vivid was totally obliterated by the light. My wife spoke to him - no apology, little change in how he held the light!
We wonder whether the photography was endorsed by Captain Cook. If yes, you need to consider your paying customers. If not, why did staff not intervene rather than leaving the spot light beaming into our seating area?

Food was great, enjoyed the ship and the view, overall it was very good value. Advance notice of what time the drinks package was finishing would have been nice, as we would have had the last half hour without any drinks, even though we'd asked our waiter earlier and thought they were on the way. A quick chat to the manager resolved the problem, but it was a bit frustrating at the time. We would travel with Captain Cook again though as overall it was good.

Service: The staff welcomed us on board and saw us to our table. Our waitress was charming and helpful throughout the night. She made several good suggestions about how we could make the most of our cruise.

We (a group of4) enjoyed the experience. We were able to board on arrival, which was good as it was a rainy evening. Table service was professional and friendly. I think if there were slightly more choices of mains and entree I would have given 5 stars. We will probably cruise again.

Service: We did 2 cruises, the 5:30 pm Friday night Vivid dinner cruise was great, nice food, and they gave us a good table because it was my wife's birthday.
We then received a free harbor story cruise for her birthday, and though it was a cold, cloudy day, it was well worth it.

Service: Food was presented nice Food was tasty Drink service was quick and good When I asked for a second drink off 2 different waiters it never came When you consider we only had 2 glasses of white wine it was pretty miserable that I could not get another I thought lousy Sorry I had a Hahn Lite also

Service: We had an enjoyable experience - Boarding was easy. I paid for Windows Seatsf or our cruise, and this was a masterstroke. Our Waitress was great - she delivered our meals and when I reminded her of my son's allergy, she swapped out his meal for a suitable one. After that she was attentive, and the meal was great. After the meal we went upstairs to the top deck and enjoyed the Vivid lights.

Service: Well, I am very disappointed and unhappy with our cruise me and my partner was expecting to see the light having to have purchase a vivid festival cruise we were not told that lights were not even on we had the 5:pm vivid cruise with dinner but I felt that we were mislead by the advertisement of Captain Cook Vivid lights Cruise we thought dinner will be serve and after that lights will be on by then. They should have been honest and make us inform that there will be no lights in that particular cruise so we could have chosen the much later time. We purchase twice as we’ve missed the originally scheduled date and have to re book the next day. We didn’t really enjoy as the highlights of the light festival for vivid 2019 experience we had with Captain Cruise me my partner and the whole group are all unhappy for not being told that in the 5pm vivid cruise will be not on yet or it’s very limited and should have extended the time at least for the 5pm cruisers so we can also witness the beautiful lights.

Service: This Dinner Cruise provided a wonderful means of taking in the Sydney Opera house at night during the Vivid Presentation. The picturesqe landscape seen from the top deck as the sun was setting is something I will never forget. The service was great and the food presentation & flavors were great. The opportunity to view the Sydney Opera house from the water was worth the cost alone. The exceptional service, food, and drinks were just a bonus. I am pleased to have booked this excursion. Service: The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was reasonably good. I was disappointed with the vivid lights and don’t think it should be advertised as same as there was only the Opera House and Museum of Contemporary Art that had light displays. Once it gets dark on the water you have no idea where you are. Some discreet commentary whilst Cruising would have be good to orientate to Sydney Harbour at night.

I don’t think it should be advertised as a Vivid lights tour as the only lights shows that you could see were the Opera House and Museum of Contemporary Art. I also think some commentary of location during the Cruise would be beneficial to orientate to Sydney Harbour

The cruise and staff on the boat were teriffic, but the boarding process leaves a lot to be desired. It was confusing where to line up and queueing for the boat blocked the traffic along the warf. It was enough to question whether to try a different operator next time.

Service: The cruise was wonderful. The staff were attentive, food excellent and a lovely group of passengers.

We went with the whole family and I can honestly say the main downfall was the bathrooms were positioned downstairs. We had to go down two flights of small steep stairs to get to it. My mother in law was unable to manage the stairs with confidence and became very anxious navigating the stairs for departure. We all needed to help her down and reassure her she was OK. I think they should of had a lift to cater for the elderly, those with difficulty walking and perhaps a bathroom on each level.
Product: We were served our dessert and approx 2 minutes later the lady came up and asked if we heard the announcement that if you wanted to disembark we needed to do it now or stay on the boat for another hour. As my mother in law required to go to the bathroom we all disembarked and left our desserts. The staff waited for us as it took some time to help her down the steep stairs. Very rushed in the end which spoilt the night.

% of us attended the Vivid Cruise. We enjoyed the meal we were given but found we were very rushed and plates taken from our table before all had finished eating. We asked that they be left until all finished however this did not happen and they were whisked away and next course on out table.

Service: We were both really looking forward to the experience, my husband's meal was very good the chicken, the vegetarian was not great at all, so much so that i did not eat anything much, i even handed it over to him to taste and he agreed it was awful too, such a shame, won't return to Captain Cook Cruises and couldn't get great pictures on an empty stomach, so disappointed with that, also we did not understand the hovering in nowhere land in the boat like they were waiting for a turn, really weird that. Have been on Cruises before and nothing like that ever happened. Maybe Vivid has become too into the future Vivid, would like my money back or an exchange, would never have replied, but here you are asking me, OK it's done, no more cruises.

Service: Queuing was confusing with so many different cruises and people standing around. Would have been helpful to have more staff on the wharf advising people. Then people were pushing in.
Product: We enjoyed the cruise but the food was a little lacklustre.
Entree was couscous salad and dessert was simply cake. Mains were good.

Nothing to do with your service. We were unable to take our cruise because my husband was admitted to ICU with health issues. I rang to inform them that we would not be going and was told our places would be kept until June 14th. We were unable to go so our money has been put into consolidated revenue by the cruise company I presume.

Service: The service was fantastic and the sightseeing was magnificent. The only thing was that the waiters were almost too efficient. I know it's a tight turnaround for the next cruise but I felt like they were hovering waiting for us to finish our meal. They were clearing our plates while the rest of the table was still eating. In saying that, they were nice and friendly.
Product: It was good value for money but it would be better if we had more time to view the lights. We only got 30 minutes of lights including the time it took to get back to King Street Wharf from CQ. Perhaps a 5.30pm to 7.00pm would be better. I found 5.00pm an early start to eat dinner.

Product: I would recommend getting the Captains Dinner - and paying extra for a window seat. The windows are very big and the views are great!! The Captain's Dinner is served on the top floor. You can also walk up to the very top level to take perfect photos. Our family was in Sydney in early June/19.

Service: the staff were friendly but I feel spent too much time at certain tables where their were groups of people.
This was our 4th vivid cruise and we thought that the experience was not as good as previous,the food was not as good only one entree 2 mains and one dessert, not value for money, we also had to wait and ask for more drinks.
Product: This was our fourth vivid and we thought it had lost its wow factor, the staff were friendly but the service was not good we had to wait and ask for drinks, the waitress spent too much time at one table where their were a group of people. The food lacked quality with only the choice of 2 mains and only one entree and one dessert we also had to pay extra for a cup of coffee. The experience was not as good as previous. Also as passed captain cook club members we should have been given a window seat and not have had to pay extra.

Expensive trip and poor service . Food was only just ok. Everything felt rushed and unorganised. We had paid for the drinks package and never got offered any drinks only the complimentary ones. Seemed reluctant to give us a drink..had to show confirmation explaining this and waitress didn't seemed to understand a word! clearly language issues...whole experience embarrassing. Also would have preferred to have been in the same room as the entertainment..wouldn't recommend sorry

Service: We had a great night BUT we had bought the extra wine package with the dinner and there was no wine waiter and to get more than the first glass of sparkling wine required a lot of perseverance. The waiters available were all genuinely busy but the wine service or lack thereof let the whole experience down.

Product: We had the best food, wine & service on this stunning cruise. The Penfolds Gold Cruise during VIVID was one of the best Sydney experiences. From arrival to departure it was all very special. The chef needs a special mention especially for the most beautiful steak on the 6 course degustation menu.

The food was great and the wait staff very professional. The only complaint I have is that we didn’t get to see much of the Vivid Light show. The show started at 6pm but the ship had to return to the wharf by 6:30pm. So our Vivid experience was very short lived.

Service: Great check in at the wharf, very positive and friendly staff on arrival on board. As this dinner cruise was a 70th bithday celebration for my wife, I could not be happier with the way we were both treated on the night. Throw in the first night of Vivid and she was delighted with the entire night aboard.
Product: Great food, well presented, not rushed. The wine was also well balanced to the food. The waiter we had on the night was gracious and polite. We have recommended the experience to friends.

The cruise felt look it was put together at the last minute, our food came out 10 minutes after everyone else and we had to wait at least 30 minutes before people came around and offered us drinks. After the first drink we received we still had to wait a significant amount of time to be offered another drink.

Service: The meal was lovely and served well. We had plenty of room at our window view table and the view was excellent. My husband is not as able as he once was on his feet so it was really good that he was able to see everything without leaving his seat.

Service: The food and wine were great; we did indeed have priority, window seating. Nice service. Probably two suggestions which would have made our experience a 5 star.
- a small diagram/map showing exactly where Kings Wharf 1 is.

(We asked our hotel and were given directions to Captain Cook offices at Pyrmont Bridge. This means we missed our champagne up on deck from the extra ten min walk. Not CCC fault tho' a small map would have made the difference)

- The prompt/suggestion that to go up on the roof to view the lights

(Ok so this seems obvious tho' remembering we didn't get that drink time on the roof, it seriously only occurred to us when the ship was finally docking at Circular Quay. And CC was so good with bringing food and drink every few minutes that if our waiter had a moment to suggest it, we would have absolutely had an enhanced experience).

Otherwise, fab night, well done and live music pleasant too. Thank you!

Warmly welcomed on board however, waiter didnt know that we had a dinner package which included drinks and wanted us to purchase our drinks (lucky I had my paperwork with me to confirm that we had drinks included!) also, had to keep asking to have water filled up during dinner.
Meals were nice however, 1 entree came that was wrong and had to be taken back and 1 dessert was wrong but we ate it instead of changing it as we had already done that with the entree.
Overall, disappointed with the meal and service :( as this was to be the highlight of our trip to Vivid in Sydney, cruising on the harbour with dinner on the first night of Vivid. It wasnt horrible - it just wasn't what we had hoped it would be.

Limited choice on the menu and the food is a little bland, bar service is poor and attendants rarely come out to serve drinks. Attentive service otherwise for a deck with full load of customers with only 4 servers, you can see they are getting absolutely hammered while still providing the best they can. Majority of the 3 hour cruise route is outside of the vivid zone so it totally missed the point of marketing as a ‘vivid’ cruise. Would still recommend captain Cook cruise but only on sunset routes.

The meal was very nice. The vivid lights stunning. We loved our dinner cruise. The only reason i gave it 4/5 stars was because of the false advertising. “Up to 3.5hr cruise”.
I would accept anything 3+ hours to match that description, but just 2.5 hrs is quite a chunk short of the advertised description.

No complaints about the staff......they were pleasant and did their job well, but the cruise of viewing the vivid displays was a let down with the boat just going from Darling Harbour to Qircular Quey and back again about 3 times.......the cruise of 3 hours was far too long for what was on offer.........with a lot of passengers wanting to get off after about 2 hours at one of the visits to Circular Quey wharf, but we’re not permitted to do so........all had to wait till the boat returned to CQ about 10.30!!! The cruise did not live up to the hype!!!

Service: The event was well organised from receiving the email about the event to disembarking from the cruise. Two couples wanted to join us & all went without a hitch. We were allocated a table for 6. The staff were courteous, well presented and attentive. The food and drinks were genreous & service was prompt . Were were not aware that we could disembark at Circular Quay to explore more of the Vivid sites, which we would have liked to have done. Instead we were advised to upstairs to look at the view from there & disembarked at Wharf 1 King Street. We then caught the feet home & missed a lot of the lighting displays around Circular Quay & the Opera House..
Product: We felt the cost was money well spent for an enjoyable event and get together with friends.Everything wentbto plan without a hitch.

Service: I brought a group of 25 college students who were studying abroad in Sydney and it was a great experience. The food and drinks were wonderful and the staff were very nice and accommodating to those students with dietary restrictions. Our cruise was the first night of Vivid so the views of the harbor area were even more spectacular. It exceeded my expectations!

This is our 3rd sunset cruise as it’s a present for my niece’s birthday. Generally very happy with it & with the service. Staff are friendly & professional.
However my other niece is vegetarian & we thought the one (and only) vegetarian meal was quite unsatisfactory. It was basically some vegetables & nothing else. This in no way lives up to what is to be found in most restaurants now as a vegetarian meal. Recommend you address this gap in your menu.

Service: Superb food, views and service. The Penfolds dinner was well worth the price, and the staff member who looked after us (if I remember correctly her name was Arina...?) was wonderful. This dinner was with my wife for our first wedding anniversary, and when Arina realised my wife is Japanese she quietly informed the piano player, who then played a Japanese classic for us to dance to - we were so touched, and that's the level of attentiveness we received the whole evening. A truly memorable experience.

Service: The ride was smooth, despite windy conditions and storms in the area. However, I was very disappointed, and somewhat disturbed, that NO SAFETY announcements were made during the cruise! Nothing about what to do in case of emergency, where the life vests and life rafts are located, etc. This is a HUGE miss in my opinion.
Product: We had excellent vegetarian entrees, and a very friendly server who chatted with us during the cruise. Food was served hot, and the dessert was excellent.

Service: On the day service was great but trying to change a menu item due to alergy was a nightmare - and the whole booking depended upon it. In addition not sure what if any other drinks we could have had as part of the package. As a person with seafood alergies the nibbles as part of the package was limited. I am not sure this package represented as good a value as other food and matched wine meals we have had. Also matched wine for substituted course was not changed despite a virtually repeated course being provided for the food thus a wasted glass of wine.
Product: Not as good as other food and matched wine I have purchased. Nibbles at the start was limited as I dont eat seafood and salmon looms large on all menus.

Very poor service at start. We had a booking and it seemed when we boarded that they had no prior plan seat and just sat us wherever. We waited 10 minutes for a drink after order placed. My partner complained as to treatment and staff seemed to view it as a joke. The windows were extremely dirty, we paid money to have a window table. The automatic washer was activated and a third through cruise were then able to see through window. The waiter assigned after complaint was very attentive, but unfortunately we had already been subjected to bad service and were disappointed with experiece. We paid $350 for something and the $6 ferry service was equivalent in terms of view and harbour experience. Meal was average. Needless to say will not recommend.

Service: Food was 6 courses and definitely enough food. Penfolds wines were lovely and service was well presented and timely. But this is definitely overpriced for what you get. The views are amazing and there's lots of opportunity for photos from the top deck, but the inside of the ship smells a little musty and on a Sat night the ship was about one quarter full - I paid extra to get window seating and it wasn't necessary at all. I took my 67yo mum and she really enjoyed the night and the 3 piece band that covers lots of golden oldie tunes. Would recommend for a large group or party of 60+ years folk - there's a small dance floor for a boogie or a slow dance to Elton John :)
Product: Overpriced and it was unecessary to pay for the extra window charge - I'd expect you'd be able to predict based on yr bookings if this is required. Recommend changing this to a first in best dressed system so customers don't feel ripped off paying for something that they don't need.

We were greeted at arrival on board and shown to our table and our waitress was very attentive, pleasant and looked after us. She even made a birthday hat for me and added sparkles to my dessert, a lovely gesture. My only thoughts were there was no salt container on the table, no butter for our bread rolls and a coffee to finish off the meal would have been lovely, it should be included in the price and not an extra cost. Otherwise a very pleasant cruise & dinner.

Service: We had a great time celebrating my husband's birthday. atmosphere was nice and intimate and the crew was lovely and helpful. the food was nice. I think it could be better. it's a bit dated. the vegetarian main coarse I ordered was not good. and the couple next to us didn't touch it at all (they ordered the same). the ravioli I had for entree was unseasoned. entertainment was also not so great. the views were amazing and beautiful and I would recommend this experience beacause we did have a good time.

Took too long to get a drink!! Also the meals were too small. Chicken meal for children were the same size as do adults which means the adults are overcharged or the children.

We did this dinner cruise to show some visiting interstate relatives one of the best harbours in the world.
The ship provides good clean facilities, the food is terrific and the outside areas which are easy to get to allow a nice relaxed alternative viewing experience.
The standout for our party was the amazing friendly and professional service and welcome we received from the ships staff especially our waiter Joey. That's the sort of service that keeps you coming back.

Service: Everything was excellent! The private Sirius room was ideal for our family celebration of 14. It was also lovely to stroll out onto the adjacent private deck. Service: We chose the Gold Dinner with matching wines and the vibes were perfect for an intimate family dinner celebrating my dad’s birthday and business anniversary. Upon arrival, we were taken up to the top deck where we received champagne and canapés while having the opportunity to take pictures of the harbour bridge and opera house. Once we were seated, the atmosphere was calm, not too loud, with live music and impeccable service. The food was okay but the real selling point of this place was the atmosphere and service, the waitresses and waiters were very professional, explaining each dish and wine, whilst also being helpful and kind. Moreover, many high end restaurants these days are crowded and overly loud but this cruise provided such a pleasant, refined evening for us. We will definitely be doing more of these cruise dinners like these when we have guests over in Sydney as it was such a pleasant evening on the harbour, eating and drinking and listening to the live pianist with more intimacy and privacy than a regular restaurant.
Product: The service from the staff were incredible and the atmosphere was just perfect but some of the dishes (main course meat dish) did not wow us. Nevertheless, it was a really great experience and we were overall incredibly happy with this dining experience.

Service: Once finally on board the delayed vessel we had a fabulous time and I’d definitely do it again but pre-boarding was a big disappointment.
Vessel did not dock till after 7p but we had been told we would be boarding from 6:30pm. Lack of communication regarding delay, pre-arrival of ship, meant we were all wondering if our Xmas Eve dinner cruise would happen. Lack of seating area during this length of time meant many were tired and grumpy.
No clear queuing area - means people push in towards the front and others become cranky. This could easily be overcome with clear marking in the ground 👍
No communication from the crew (apologies or otherwise) even after ship had docked
Many staff but seemingly no action 😡
When the vessel finally arrived just after 7p boarding was for priority customers first... this lead to confusion as were all tired and hungry. There were so many lovely staff/waiters on board... just send a few down to those waiting and make a brief apology for the delay. Simple. Waiting around even longer was exacerbated by the fuel smell from the engines.
Food, service and entertainment on board were all excellent and dulled the pain of the initial frustrations. We were there to celebrate being married in the Captain Cook Cruise 20yrs ago so this initial start to the evening was a real disappointment and left us wondering if we should have come back. In the end, glad we did.

I thank the crew of the Sydney 2000 on the 12th of December for their fine service and the efforts they had made in the restricted timing available to them, to make this the most occasion the most important person my life could have expected - or dreamed of!

Service: We chose the window seating and the extra drink list. We were not disappointed. The seating was lovely with an incredible view throughout the cruise. The food was delicious. From the appetizers to the desserts everything arrived piping hot and very tasty. The beef tenderloin was perfectly done and the salmon was exquisite. The wait staff was prompt and always available for a refill. After dinner we went down stairs and danced the rest of the cruise. Although the choice of music may not be for everyone we enjoyed it nonetheless. The four of us had a fabulous time !! Thanks again

Service: I think I would take the harbor cruise without the meal. The food was okay but not great. The service was average, but I got tired of the waiter trying to force wine on us instead of bar drinks. For some reason he didn't like the fact that we wanted cocktails. In addition, they don't carry higher end liquor, just the minimum bar grade. On the positive, the boat was half empty so we had plenty of room to move around and enjoy the views from the upper deck. The music was a bit to "loungy", like it was trying to create some Love Boat image, but the singer was actually quite good.
Product: I initially purchased the Penfolds Gold but then realized that they would not accommodate dietary issues. I had to go back and forth with the office to get our cruise changed to the Captains dinner. Instead of a refund for the difference, we were given a bar credit. At the end of the night, we still had a credit which we consumed, but I was not happy with this.

Service: the signage for the cruise was poor , we waited for for 30 mins and found out that the area for the departure site was different to the site on the invoice.

* having to pay additionally onboard for tea or coffee.
* the starters or mezze share platter was a bit dissappointing, and the size of the main dishes were a little underwhelming.
* our server was not very well presented. Their pants were dirty with handprints on the backside & their shirt wasn't pressed.

While we acknowledge these are not big issues, in the grand scheme of things, it's doing the little things well that make a difference.

Service: We had a very enjoyable evening. The service was very good, although we had to remind our waitress about one or two things. It wasn't anything major and wasn't really a problem, but it kept me from giving an excellent rating. I would definitely recommend the cruise. In fact, I have been on this cruise six or seven times previously.
Product: The food was very good, the service was good, the entertainment was also very good and of course who can complain about the view. The cruise is definitely value for money.

Service: We had a family reunion dinner with Captain Cook Cruises, including a number of interstate visitors, only to find our guaranteed window seating only had 2 window seats and the table was positioned into the room, despite other tables that were longways across the windows, and was right next to the keyboard player and singer, thus making it impossible to communicate with each other.

As it was the smaller boat,which in itself was disappointing, moving our table was not possible. Very disappointing after highly recommending it after a prior cruise, and felt bad for some of our guests who had spent the money on our recommendation.
Product: The noise at our table was too loud, not the artists fault, but a flaw with the seating arrangements. We were not the only guests to request that they turn their amplifiers down, but it did not happen,

Service: Der Service war nett, aber nichts Besonderes.
Product: Die Bootstour war schön, aber nicht aussergewöhnlich. Vom Sunset war noch nichts zu sehen, die Tour ging zu früh los und wir waren noch einige Zeit vor dem Sonnenuntergang zurück. Das Essen war ok, für so viele Gäste ist es natürlich auch schwierig.
