Service: My boyfriend took me for my birthday, I loved it and would recommend the long lunch to anyone. Had the best day ever. Perfect present for the young and old. Had champagne for the first time and the 3course meals were amazing. Especially the desert that was Malibu and coconut slice with a birthday sparkler along with the whole staff and other patrons all singing happy birthday. Perfect for a beautiful day on the harbour. Plus as a smoker the top deck was allowed smokers to enjoy the views of Sydney Harbour with interesting audio of the harbours history

Service: Customer service could have been improved. The waiters were more busy cleaning up for later events than coming to follow up with coffee requests or drinks or whether things were oK. Need better staff training in hospitality. It was good not to have people/ tables too close. The cruise was nice. We appreciated the 3 yr old twins being invited to see the captain. It was nice to have our birthday cake delivered by staff.
Product: My husband's pasta dish had something hard, a piece of ravioli or pastry. He complained to the waitress. The children's meals were good. In general the meal was good and enjoyed. 2 guests wanted soft drinks but told there were none only juice. Disappointment for them.

Service: We chose the Captain Cook Cruise Long Lunch to celebrate the retirement of one of our long serving employees. The cruise did not disappoint. We were a party of 15 and the service and food were both excellent. We will not hesitate to book again in the future.
Product: The long lunch was exceptional value for money. We booked early and due to the size of the party, received a discount on the fee. There was also the option to board and disembark at two different locations which meant that people could leave at a time that suited them.

My only disappointment and also my fellow interstate travellers was the actual cruise, basically all you do is keep going back picking up and dropping off, I have seen more of Sydney Harbour on every other cruise I have done, no out to Watson Bay, into Rushcutters bay, nothing really, it is the actual cruise journey that lets your company down big time, it was universal that none would cruise with you again if that is your attempt at showing off the worlds best harbour,

Service: On the day service was great but trying to change a menu item due to alergy was a nightmare - and the whole booking depended upon it. In addition not sure what if any other drinks we could have had as part of the package. As a person with seafood alergies the nibbles as part of the package was limited. I am not sure this package represented as good a value as other food and matched wine meals we have had. Also matched wine for substituted course was not changed despite a virtually repeated course being provided for the food thus a wasted glass of wine.
Product: Not as good as other food and matched wine I have purchased. Nibbles at the start was limited as I dont eat seafood and salmon looms large on all menus.

We had a fabulous time aboard Sydney 2000. It was our wedding anniversary. The staff made us very welcome and even organised for our fellow passengers to give us a round of applause. The bar staff shouted us mocktails with sparklers. We also met another couple sitting near us from Tasmania and by the end of the cruise we were organising to visit them for a holiday.

Very poor service at start. We had a booking and it seemed when we boarded that they had no prior plan seat and just sat us wherever. We waited 10 minutes for a drink after order placed. My partner complained as to treatment and staff seemed to view it as a joke. The windows were extremely dirty, we paid money to have a window table. The automatic washer was activated and a third through cruise were then able to see through window. The waiter assigned after complaint was very attentive, but unfortunately we had already been subjected to bad service and were disappointed with experiece. We paid $350 for something and the $6 ferry service was equivalent in terms of view and harbour experience. Meal was average. Needless to say will not recommend.

Service: Food was 6 courses and definitely enough food. Penfolds wines were lovely and service was well presented and timely. But this is definitely overpriced for what you get. The views are amazing and there's lots of opportunity for photos from the top deck, but the inside of the ship smells a little musty and on a Sat night the ship was about one quarter full - I paid extra to get window seating and it wasn't necessary at all. I took my 67yo mum and she really enjoyed the night and the 3 piece band that covers lots of golden oldie tunes. Would recommend for a large group or party of 60+ years folk - there's a small dance floor for a boogie or a slow dance to Elton John :)
Product: Overpriced and it was unecessary to pay for the extra window charge - I'd expect you'd be able to predict based on yr bookings if this is required. Recommend changing this to a first in best dressed system so customers don't feel ripped off paying for something that they don't need.

Long Lunch Cruise was very short on cruising the best harbour in the world.
Three times into Darling Harbour and not much further than Elizabeth Bay can hardly be called a SYDNEY HARBOUR CRUISE!!!!
The food was average and the wine prices were expensive.

Service: We had a great time celebrating my husband's birthday. atmosphere was nice and intimate and the crew was lovely and helpful. the food was nice. I think it could be better. it's a bit dated. the vegetarian main coarse I ordered was not good. and the couple next to us didn't touch it at all (they ordered the same). the ravioli I had for entree was unseasoned. entertainment was also not so great. the views were amazing and beautiful and I would recommend this experience beacause we did have a good time.

We were a group of 10 relatives looking for somewhere different for lunch around Circular Quay and decided instead to try your "long Lunch" cruise. Apart from our table to be somewhat crowded we all had a great time. Personally, because of my age I found it difficult to traverse the steep stairs onboard. Did not complete my request to wish my parents on their anniversary or add a sparkle to their dessert. Bad!! To state long lunch cruise is deceptive when the lunch is finished well before time only to repeat another round of dropping and picking passengers. What’s the point taking two rounds of the harbour??

At the time of booking there was a question of special diatery requierments.
We specified gluten free and lactose free. But unfortunately there was no lactose free and then we sent our feed back with full explanation.

Took too long to get a drink!! Also the meals were too small. Chicken meal for children were the same size as do adults which means the adults are overcharged or the children.

I took and paid for myself and 3 guests . I paid for the premium drinks package . I tried every red and two whites .
The Tyrells moon mountain which I buy on special at Dan Murphys for 20 dollars a bottle was the only average / decent quality wine available .
Such a disappointment .
A little embarrassing actually.
We hoped for better.
One glass of the Mawson had to be taken away . Obviously the bottle was open too long.
As I said , everything else was so good. Why let yourselves down with the wine list, especially today when so many people enjoy food and wine matching .
Anyway we will be back , but I hope this aspect improves . I’m happy to help with the wine selection if u ever want help.

We did this dinner cruise to show some visiting interstate relatives one of the best harbours in the world.
The ship provides good clean facilities, the food is terrific and the outside areas which are easy to get to allow a nice relaxed alternative viewing experience.

Service: The cruise, the setting and the 3 course meal were all excellent. If I were to be critical it would be the slight evidence of confusion among the staff early in the cruise with their approach to addressing the drinks arrangements, the selection of the menu choice and then the actual bringing to the table. We seemed to sit for a long while with no contact on any front while some other tables were into their second course. There seemed to be a need for someone calling the shots and organising who was to go to which table etc. Another minor point, it is a pity there isn't a lift up to the top deck floor. I am having mobility problems currently and the steep steps presented some slight problems.

In buying the premier tickets, we expected we were going on a 3 hr full harbour cruise with commentary and a nice lunch. Instead we were going for a nice lunch (it was) on the harbour and getting shuttled between stops for the convenience of others, so we got off an hour early. That there was going to be no commentary was not evident until the money had been paid and it was on the receipt. It is all about managing expectations - if we had known what we were going to be in for we would have had lunch somewhere else and bought a 'proper' cruise, with commentary.

Service: We chose the Gold Dinner with matching wines and the vibes were perfect for an intimate family dinner celebrating my dad’s birthday and business anniversary. Upon arrival, we were taken up to the top deck where we received champagne and canapés while having the opportunity to take pictures of the harbour bridge and opera house. Once we were seated, the atmosphere was calm, not too loud, with live music and impeccable service. The food was okay but the real selling point of this place was the atmosphere and service, the waitresses and waiters were very professional, explaining each dish and wine, whilst also being helpful and kind. Moreover, many high end restaurants these days are crowded and overly loud but this cruise provided such a pleasant, refined evening for us. We will definitely be doing more of these cruise dinners like these when we have guests over in Sydney as it was such a pleasant evening on the harbour, eating and drinking and listening to the live pianist with more intimacy and privacy than a regular restaurant.
Product: The service from the staff were incredible and the atmosphere was just perfect but some of the dishes (main course meat dish) did not wow us. Nevertheless, it was a really great experience and we were overall incredibly happy with this dining experience.

Service: All staff were extremely pleasant and efficient and well presented. Food was good but could have been hotter.
Our waitress, Eesha (sp) was especially efficient and attentive to our requests.
Ship was very well presented and clean.
Our guest was celebrating his 80th birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Product: Cruise was 3 1/2 hours and we thought that the route would include more of Sydney Harbour than it did.
The route was repetitive with time spent at Circular Quay and King Street Wharf. Last 1 1/2 hours a waste. Cruise to Manly, Balmoral, Hunters Hill & Parramatta River would improve experience.
We had no commentary in the top restaurant.

There was a mix up with our seating and you staff went out of there way to make sure we were happy with the result. They were extremely apologetic for the mix up and made sure we were happy. We enjoyed the experience and would do it again. Value for money was good. Maybe a little rushed at the end would have liked a bit more time to enjoy my coffee before we had to leave.

Vessel did not dock till after 7p but we had been told we would be boarding from 6:30pm. Lack of communication regarding delay, pre-arrival of ship, meant we were all wondering if our Xmas Eve dinner cruise would happen. Lack of seating area during this length of time meant many were tired and grumpy.
No clear queuing area - means people push in towards the front and others become cranky. This could easily be overcome with clear marking in the ground 👍
No communication from the crew (apologies or otherwise) even after ship had docked
Many staff but seemingly no action 😡
When the vessel finally arrived just after 7p boarding was for priority customers first... this lead to confusion as were all tired and hungry. There were so many lovely staff/waiters on board... just send a few down to those waiting and make a brief apology for the delay. Simple. Waiting around even longer was exacerbated by the fuel smell from the engines.
Food, service and entertainment on board were all excellent and dulled the pain of the initial frustrations. The cruise itself was disappointing as we only had a short cruise before we went back to port to drop off the people who had the seafood buffet and picked up the high tea customers. Consequently the advertised 3 h cruise turned out to be 2 by 75 min cruises interrupted by 30 min at the wharf.

Service: We booked the Sirius private room for a group of 21 and had a very relaxed and enjoyable day. We were well attended throughout the cruise and I couldn't really fault it for the amount we paid. Amenities were all very clean and modern. We did however choose the premium drinks package which everyone had to be on (although about four in our group did not drink alcohol) - and on the day there "was not" Little Creatures beer on the menu as is advertised in the example drink menu on their website. Nor was there a suitable replacement for this. That was the only disappointment.

Service: We chose the window seating and the extra drink list. We were not disappointed. The seating was lovely with an incredible view throughout the cruise. The food was delicious. From the appetizers to the desserts everything arrived piping hot and very tasty. The beef tenderloin was perfectly done and the salmon was exquisite. The wait staff was prompt and always available for a refill. After dinner we went down stairs and danced the rest of the cruise. Although the choice of music may not be for everyone we enjoyed it nonetheless. The four of us had a fabulous time !! Thanks again

Service: The cruise was well organised, table seating was perfect - spaced so each table had ample space - , general atmosphere was quiet enough to talk and our waitress was genuinely lovely. The food options covered many dietary requirements and the food was really delicious. My friends can be hard to please but raved about the food.
The long lunch option is recommended as the shorter option would have meant we would have been rushing our meal. I would definitely recommend this option even to Sydney siders.

Service: The overall experience was good but could have been great with the front desk experience from the pier and wharf desk. We had over 35+ guest for long lunch cruise and was placed in the private section of the ship. It was such a beautiful experience. Our staff complimented on the 3 course meal. It was delicious. We had a hiccup with guest seats but they quickly got that rectified and hassle free. They were accommodating.

The only bad experience I had was when the Pier desk only printed 25 onboard passes but I had increased the number of guests since my initial booking. The wharf 1 desk did not believe that I was supplied short and refused to provide the right number of boarding passes even after I have collected all 25 passes from all our staff to physically show her. Pier desk should have counted the passes to match what was on the amended record document. Luckily, I had the print out document. So she asked that I showed it to the staff onboard. Also, I was told that I could arrange the drink package when we get onboard but later asked to do so at the wharf 1 desk before the ship leaves so I had to run and pay this at wharf 1.

It would also be good to know when the desserts are being served. Most of us was on the deck and didnt realise that the dessert plates had been placed on our table.
Apart from that....It was good, and enjoyable experience.

Service: I think I would take the harbor cruise without the meal. The food was okay but not great. The service was average, but I got tired of the waiter trying to force wine on us instead of bar drinks. For some reason he didn't like the fact that we wanted cocktails. In addition, they don't carry higher end liquor, just the minimum bar grade. On the positive, the boat was half empty so we had plenty of room to move around and enjoy the views from the upper deck. The music was a bit to "loungy", like it was trying to create some Love Boat image, but the singer was actually quite good.
Product: I initially purchased the Penfolds Gold but then realized that they would not accommodate dietary issues. I had to go back and forth with the office to get our cruise changed to the Captains dinner. Instead of a refund for the difference, we were given a bar credit. At the end of the night, we still had a credit which we consumed, but I was not happy with this.

Service: the signage for the cruise was poor , we waited for for 30 mins and found out that the area for the departure site was different to the site on the invoice.
we missed the boat and have to pay $50 for rebooking,

Service: Bookings were quick and easy. E-mails were concise and informative. Security regarding who I was when picking up the tickets was studious. Pleasant interactions with departure crew. Shipping crew were diligent in safety. Dining staff were friendly and fun to talk to. FOOD WAS DELIGHTFUL. Harbour in all it's splendor is to God's credit. Service: Booking office staff great as we were running late , waiter staff were all brand new and being trained so was a little frustrating as they were doing some random stuff and we had to keep calling them over to ask for things . The meal was nice but felt very rushed - it could have easily been spread over the whole cruise rather than crammed into the first hour - especially as they were only 7 other tables on the deck .

Service: We had a very enjoyable evening. The service was very good, although we had to remind our waitress about one or two things. It wasn't anything major and wasn't really a problem, but it kept me from giving an excellent rating. I would definitely recommend the cruise. In fact, I have been on this cruise six or seven times previously.
Product: The food was very good, the service was good, the entertainment was also very good and of course who can complain about the view. The cruise is definitely value for money.

Service: We had a family reunion dinner with Captain Cook Cruises, including a number of interstate visitors, only to find our guaranteed window seating only had 2 window seats and the table was positioned into the room, despite other tables that were longways across the windows, and was right next to the keyboard player and singer, thus making it impossible to communicate with each other.

As it was the smaller boat,which in itself was disappointing, moving our table was not possible. Very disappointing after highly recommending it after a prior cruise, and felt bad for some of our guests who had spent the money on our recommendation.
Product: The noise at our table was too loud, not the artists fault, but a flaw with the seating arrangements. We were not the only guests to request that they turn their amplifiers down, but it did not happen,

Service: The vessel was well presented and the staff very courteous. Food was of a good stansard and well presented. We were on the Long Lunch cruise and we were disappointed that their was no commentary . We also paid for the drink package and found that once all course were served the staff seemed to slow down on the table service . We are not big drinkers but I don't think we should have to chase staff to ask for a drink.

Service: The one stand out feature of our trip on Wednesday 24th October was the young lady that looked after us that day. We were up on the top deck for a long lunch. As I do not remember the name of the young lady perhaps you could look at your roster and tell her what asset she is to your business. The food was of a very good standard and the cruise itself was very enjoyable. The only criticism we have would be the dessert. We feel that they should serve cream or ice cream with the slices as they are a little dry without anything. Once again our congratulations to the young lass that served us, WELL DONE.

The cruise was lovely and the lunch was delicious!
We did a lot of research before selecting the Long Lunch Cruise which was supposed to have been about 3 1/2 hours, but in the end it was only 2 hours long. We could have stayed on board for another loop around the harbour, but that would have taken another two hours and we would have missed our collection time. We should rather have chosen a cruise with a proper commentary.

We had booked our cruise for March. However, my wife suffered an illness just at that time which put her in a wheel-chair. Captain cook Cruises were very helpful in allowing us to postpone our cruise, which we then had two weeks ago. We are very grateful for the assistance we received getting on and off and for the personalised service given to us on the lower deck, by the lovely and friendly staff.

It is a big thing for us, that despite disability we can still enjoy so many things in life.

Service: Excellent service provided by the staff. Friendly and approachable. They even waited an additional 5 mins so that one of the group members (who was delayed) was able to make it for the cruise on time.

The only area of improvement would be the choice for vegetarian options. The entrée and dessert was good, however the main was not very enjoyable. Maybe consider other options. Thank you

Service: We enjoyed the service of the staff and the band was very good. The food was good but not excellent, the lamb shanks were very tough and not falling of the bone. They were not enjoyable to eat. A little more attention to detail would have made it a lot better. The photographer seemed like he was just doing a job and was not careful with the photos he was taking. If he had viewed the shots he had taken, he would have realized that they were not worth buying and he would have re taken the photos. we would have purchased more photos if the shots were decent.
Product: I felt the cost was a little high for the time we were on the dinner cruise. I expected the same amount of time as a Saturday evening. Our overseas guests enjoyed the cruise and the views but would have enjoyed a little more time on the harbour.

Ensure that the waiters don’t get the order wrong as he did with me on more than one occasion. If cooking beef tenderloin to a medium request, that it is cooked right through and not raw in the middle as was mine. I actually fainted and vomited my food because of my inability to digest the raw meat.

A good evening sailing around the harbour, we boarded at Darling Harbour to find people that had boarded at Circular Quay already eating their meals. Staff seemed rushed to get passengers to choose their food from the menu, service was also haphazard, we were nearly served our mains before our starters, had to ask for butter for our rolls.
Attention to detail and more of a structured approach would be great, I appreciate that there were quite a few aboard but not overbooked by any means.
Food was fine as again catering for a lot of people.

Service: We paid $50 to have window seats, then the people on the next table asked to move to a window seat, sure enough they got moved to the table just behind us for $0. So I guess don’t pay $50 just take the chance and see if you can be moved.

Service: The visual experience was spectacular but the dining experience was underwhelming.The medium rare steak was overdone and quite dry.I commented about this to the lady who served us but there was no offer to rectify the situation.Her English was poor and she may not have understood.Cooking a steak is not rocket science and I am surprised that the task was beyond the so called chef.I thought that a coffee would be supplied in the cost of the meal.It was not.I received an instant coffee for $4.00.That's right...an instant coffee!If I was rating this on the food alone it would probably rate 1.5 stars.
Product: I already did.To summarise the medium rare steak was closer to well done and was dry and the coffee was an extra charge when it arrived was intant coffee not brewed.Also all staf should be able to communicate well in English.

My husband and I enjoyed a Captain's Dinner cruise in Sydney. We had amazing evening. Live music and food were great, staff was very friendly, exceptional service. I would defiantly recommend this cruise. I also recommend to pay extra for a guaranteed window seating, it worth is.
(Do not agree to have your photos taken if you are not going to buy them printed for $12 per picture).

Dinner Cruise (9/9/18): We had an amazing time, and want to in particular thank our waitress Cecelia. A few waitresses attended our table and all were great, but it seemed that Cecelia was our designated waitress and she was our main contact with the wait team. It was my mother’s 65th birthday and the whole crew (including the musicians) made it special, with the wait staff telling the band to sing happy birthday, and co-ordinating it with the kitchen to have a cake and candle brought out at the same time. I realise that this is probably standard operating procedure, but it was executed perfectly, and there were also a whole host of smaller details too numerous to catalogue that just made the night perfect. The drinks came to our table quickly, our questions were answered with a smile, and everything was just smooth and relaxed and the ambiance created by the staff was spot on. Thanks for a great night.

Service: We bought the lunchtime cruise for Louise and Marty as a special gift for them, visiting from Adelaide for their birthdays. They were overwhelmed with the excellent service they received from all the friendly staff on board. We wanted to do something special for them considering they'd never been on a harbour cruise in Sydney before and the experience was everything we could have hoped for. They also appreciated the insights provided by the commentary and felt it was a great addition to their experience. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a great way to experience the beauty that Sydney has to offer.
Product: Decent value, our parents really enjoyed the food and remarked on the great quality of each course.

Service: Service was reasonable although slow to renew drinks, possibly because we were on a pre-paid drinks package.
Product: The photos on your website display tables with white table linen and I thought the presentation of the table was much like a coffee shop or cafe rather than a premium dining experience that was advertised on the web page. It was overpriced for the food that was served. The pumpkin/sweet potato entree was quite plain with no flavour as was the beef noodle entree. The beef main was lovely, however the lamb shanks tasted so much like bottled mixed herbs that it was overpowering and my guest didn't eat it any of it. The dessert was coffee shop standard. The service was reasonable although service of drinks was slow (most likely because we were on a pre-paid bar package). We bought the premium drinks package and thought it included spirits - the website was a little confusing in that regard - that's the only reason we chose premium was because we thought it included spirits. So our drinks package really didn't cover the drinks we received as we ended up buying spirits because one guest has an allergy to wine. A few glasses of wine each for the rest of our party, I thought was overly expensive for the price of that package as well. The ladies toilets were dirty, with vomit in one toilet and no toilet paper in two of the three cubicles and the floor and area just looked dirty with water and toilet paper around the place on the floor. The views were amazing, but I must say I wish I had of chosen another cruise option. I feel it was advertised as a luxurious experience, which it was not.

Service: Was not on the ship scheduled. Cruise was late, ship was cold, food not very good. We were taken to a different dock than the original even though we were told by staff it was the same. Left us stranded. We had to find a taxi to take us to our hotel.

We do try to maintain a warm environment for our passengers onboard, however with it being winter in Sydney and passengers able to access the upper deck on top of our vessel, a cooler temperature can be expected with passengers recommended to wear warm clothing as appropriate for the season. Service: We have been on many dinner cruises around the world and this has to be amongst the best, if not the best.

The food is sublime, it would not be out of place in a high quality restaurant.

The waiter was friendly and attentive, without being in your face.

Service: Food was fantastic, staff extremely friendly, views both from table and external are amazing, would recommend experience to friends and colleagues.
Only downfall was paying for drinks package and service of drinks was slow, paid for premium service which was lacking. Obviously also know now that Circular Quay is the location to start your cruise as Darling Harbour robs you of 1 hour cruise time, would of been nice to know this in advance or change the route so Darling Harbour is where the cruise finishes, therefore giving all passangers exactly the same cruise time !!!

We were most impressed by this Cruise. Very tasty, well prepared and served food with finesse and style. Waitress was very friendly, attentive and gave excellent service. Accompanying Penfold wines were well matched with each food course. Lovely window seating. Only reservation was we felt that the evening meal with drinks was a little rushed. 2.5hrs was not enough time. Cruise should have been atleast another 1hour duration.
Music whilst dining with volcalist added to the evening cruise.
A really memorable and great experience.

Service: Long lunch menu was value for money - 3 courses X 3 choices is in line with Sheraton / Westin/ Intercontinental.
Staff attentive, efficient & courteous - went the extra yard not only for my wife's birthday ( sparkler on her desert & sang happy birthday to her) but also to the couples either side celebrating wedding anniversaries ( sparklers on both dessert & verbal congratulations).
As I am still recovering from pulling both hamstrings they could see my wife's concern about the 24 steps down the toilet. They took the effort to check on me , without my being aware, & then advised her I was OK.
Product: As indicated above the standard of the 3 courses X 3 choices was comparable to Sheraton/ Westin / Intercontinental main restaurants & at discounted $79 PP good value while the full price of $99 PP is of comparable value.

I had to call to make a booking as the is no option for infants online. I was assured that I could have a highchair for my 8 month old only to be told that they only offer a booster seat which was far too small for her to reach the table.
Whilst this was unpleasant, the service we received was great. They offered to move our table due to a large rowdy group next to us and the food was superb. Despite a rocky start, the whole 3.5hr cruise was a lovely day out.

Service: Very friendly informative service. The wait staff explained the extra time on the cruise well which gave us the opportunity to have a rest before desert was served. Decaffinated coffee was found and served. We got some nice photos taken.

Service: We have been on many a Captain Cook dinner Cruise and this was a Monday night and was a smaller gathering than usual.
We didn't find the service as attentive as in the past and thought maybe because it was a Monday and a smaller group that there wasn't the same energy from the staff.

We also paid extra for a Window seat but also saw a lot of window seats not being used and remembered in the past as a couple that being offered a window seat as a lovely gesture.

We have lovely memories of the Captain Cook cruises as I proposed to my wife on the top deck on New Years Eve.

We will definitely be back we were just a little disappointed.

Service: It just wasn’t a pleasant experience. Had a guest from overseas. The waitress was lovely but the drinks waiter insisted we have a bottle not two glasses and of course we left wine behind because I had to drive. My fault for not standing my ground, but he did keep insisting so we said yes to shut him up. The singer was awful, the singing was out of tune and drove my guest to the point he had to go outside. We did a lot of things during his three week visit and the dinner cruise was our worst experience. Sorry to say these things, in the end we were laughing it was so unpleasant.

Service: We were welcomed onboard by friendly crew. The boat was beautifully presented and we were impressed with the paintings of the first fleet displayed on the staircase up to the dining area. We were given a window seat with a fantastic view of Sydney harbour and served an extremely tasty 3 course meal. Our food arrived at appropriate times throughout the trip and the food and beverage staff were very friendly and efficient. The boat travelled very smoothly and we barely felt like we were moving at all. The whole 2 hour trip was a truly great way to celebrate my birthday and I would recommend the cruise to everyone!
Product: I had salmon for starters, roast duck for main course and a delicious chocolate mouse for dessert. All theee courses were extremely tasty!

Service: The Welcome and service was great, however we were taken to the top of the ship with a welcome drink and left there by ourselves, (it was extremely cold) when the waitress bought canapes to us we asked to go down stairs.

Food was beautiful and the waitress was very friendly and lovely.

Dinner / night cruise was not what we expected, we couldn't see a lot as it was dark and the windows reflected the inside of the ship.

We would cruise again, but perhaps sunset.

Everything was great. The reason a 4 rather than 5 staff didn’t know whether wines were dry or sweet. Requested a rose sparkling, and asked them to check first if it was dry / brut. If sweet bring the welcome sparkling. They brought the sweet but quickly changed it when I asked them.

Communication, MINUS ONE.
Tired to organise a birthday cake, seemed impossible, as no communication back from answer phone, and COMPLETE INABILITY to talk to anyone.

Food better than expected.

Shuffle between pick up and drop offs, longer and more than expected, but not a complaint Reality I guess.

We were a large group and we're welcomed on board the Starlight Dinner Cruise by friendly staff. The 3 course dinner was well presented and tasty. The vegetarian main could have been more interesting (quinoa veggie patties with steamed vegetables), but all other options were very good. Service: I was very dissapointed with the Captains Dinner Cruise we went on during the vivid festival. I took my elderly mother who is slow and gets tired but the staff loading the passengers were inconsiderate and just rude. I asked for assistance with my mother and was told that no help was available. The same when we entered the boat and realised we needed to go up two flights of very steep stairs - again no help offered and one staff member actually rolled their eyes. T he cruise is clearly not accessible for anyone with limited mobility - this should be made clear on the web page.
The singer was so loud it was really hard to hear ourselves talking - she was also relentless. There is only so many Celine Dion covers that can be sung before it just becomes annoying.
The dinner itself was also very dissapointing. Our main meals came out at different times (not just a few minutes) and when mine and my mothers came out it was stone cold. The senior waiter did take them back and gave us a new hot meal and a complimentary glass of wine and was apologetic but by then the evening was pretty much ruined.
This is not an inexpensive evening with gthe dinner and cruise costing $155 per headplus drinks.
Overall a really dissapointing evening on what was meant to be a really special occasion for my mother.
Product: Overpriced. Cold dinner, rude staff at loading and annoying singer.

Food average and fast service, band absolutely awful and far too loud, strip lights on the Windows made viewing of the Vivid lights difficult (the only reason we booked the cruise) AND you should pre explain that the boat is available to board from 7pm and the Kings Wharf is different from Bangaroo as we found several people waiting at the wrong pier. All in all a complete waste of an evening.

Service: The cruise was overpriced for what we got.
The service was poor - staff botched the order and gave my husband the wrong dish. They were intrusive and 'hovering' at the beginning when we were not ready to order and absent when we tried to order drinks later on. We did the Captains dinner, which was supposed to be the premium experience, but the dinner was served cold and I've had better meat from a tin can. Strangely the premium experience does not include wine like the standard package does (so I have no idea how they can justify charging more and providing less). There was no views to speak of (we did the Vivid tour). The only good thing was the entertainment - the singer was lovely.

Service: The food and table service were average (some aspects even below average) overall. I had a steak (which was quite good) but the vegetables were well below expectations. My wife also said that her meal was 'pretty unappealing'. The attendant on our table seemed 'distracted', although the young lady who brought out some of our meal was much more enthusiastic.
Based on our experience I would be unlikely to recommend the experience to friends. We were also looking forward to the Vivid experience but have to say our taxi driver was correct in that it was a 'bit over-rated'. Best of luck for future cruises.

But food was good in taste - no way I would had been happy with the steak size if that was the only food I would get for the night.

Service: My friends and I joined a Vivid Cruise on the 9th June, as we are all over 60 we enjoy seeing Vivid via a dinner cruise.
The menu consisted of excellent choices, (4) four entree, (4) four main, (4) dessert. Our choices were delicious, and enjoyed by all.
The on board entertainment, was our era of music, which made dinner all the more enjoyable.
The view of the harbour was clear and all lite up attractions were visible from our seats.
We could not fault the service of our waitress, she was polite and obliging and sorted any minor problems that arose.
We did have one complaint, that tea and coffee were not included in our meal and had to be paid for at the end of the night, as seniors we all enjoy a “cuppa” at the end of a meal.
Product: Need to include tea and coffee as part of the meal not an extra that has to be paid for separately

Service: We were on the Penfolds cruise in 2017 and found the atmosphere was so much better. We also had a band which was great because we could get up to dance. This year we only had 20 people in total and a piano was all the entertainment we had. I would have preferred to pay less and be down stairs. The staff, however and the meals were amazing.
Product: Food and wines were awesome.

Service: This was my second vivid cruise. Last year’s was such fun that I invited friends along to experience it. What a disaster! We paid more than last year simply to have a choice of the same food as was served last year. When I asked for more wine, the service staff were rude and dismissive, almost to the point of contempt that we thought paying more was worth more than a choice of meals at each course.
Further, the lights were turned down so we could barely see what we were eating.
I could have save a lot of money and caught the ferry to Manly, had a nice dinner with wine and come home with money spare compared with the poor experience last weekend.
Sadly, it will be never again and I won’t be recommending anyone else does it, either.
Product: Not worth the money. Better food staying on shore and eating at a restaurant.

The staff were extremely nice and welcoming.
The food quality was excellent.
The place was very neat and clean including bathrooms.
The sailing was smooth and was appropriate with location in regards to VIVID Sydney Festival.

Service: We absolutely loved the Dinner and Cruise. The service was excellent! All staff were very friendly. We celebrated our 5 year anniversary and it was lovely. The food was amazing and the pianist played a very nice selection of music. Thank you!
