Introducing our new Harbour Bar & Restaurant

It is fair to say that 2020 has been a challenging year of many firsts. A year for reinvention and reimagination for all businesses that operate in travel or hospitality.

But for those of us Sydney, the greatest city in the world, we’re used to the constant innovation in these industries which is both a necessity and a badge of honour.

For 50 years Captain Cook Cruises has been the first choice for Sydney Harbour experiences. Our pedigree and our experience speaks for itself. But this week we’re excited to launch a completely redesigned waterfront hospitality experience for our local and interstate guests.

INTRODUCING THE HARBOUR BAR & RESTAURANT

Our new Harbour Bar & Restaurant represents the recognisable shift in the way people enjoy and experience our beautiful Harbour. Over the last decade, the Harbour has become more than just a setting for a premium meal with a gorgeous sunset. It’s also a unique gathering place for friends and family at any time of the day or the year.

Our new product borrows all the incredible elements from our popular Premium Dining experiences including expansive windows and endless vistas of a glowing Sydney CBD and adds a new carefree dimension when we need it most. The new casual Harbour Bar & Restaurant is much more in tune with our city’s famous rooftop bars, it’s heritage pubs and the relaxed restaurants which are so intertwined in Sydney’s unique DNA.

NEW MENUS & FLEXIBILITY

Our new menus in the Harbour Restaurant are both simple and designed for you to enjoy in a 90-minute sitting. After lunch or dinner, we encourage guests to stay as long as they like in our Harbour Bar where they can let the conversation (and the drinks) flow and leave it to us to ensure the good times roll on.

For seafood lovers, our fresh prawns and barramundi are a must and for carnivores the local eye fillet steak is hard to go past. We also offer both vegetarian and gluten free alternatives.

Flexibility is at the heart of the new experience aboard our signature vessel, Sydney 2000. The Harbour Restaurant is open from 12 noon until 10.30pm, stopping regularly at both King Street Wharf Darling Harbour and Circular Quay to collect guests in 90 to 120-minute sittings.

AUSSIE WINE, COCKTAILS & CRAFT BEER

Aboard the new Harbour Bar, our experienced bartenders will tempt you with a range of Australian wine, craft beer and Sydney-inspired cocktails including our signature Southerly Busta Iced Tea Mojito.

The new Harbour Bar & Restaurant is the perfect relaxed spot for a casual dinner with friends before a night out in the city. Or grab a relaxed lunch in our Harbour Restaurant and spend the rest of your afternoon in the Harbour Bar drinking Australian sparkling wine with friends while sharing one of our local cheese grazing plates.

This flexible dining and drinking experience is unlike any other on the Harbour and is akin to Sydney’s first ever floating pub crawl and gastro pub.

This is a waterfront restaurant and a bar which has been completely reimagined. So, grab your mates, lock in an afternoon together and meet the crew at King Street Wharf or Circular Quay. We’ll take care of the rest!
