Service: The food and trip was great but your head chef cracked up quite loud about a few different things one being people weren’t lining up right. We were only told go help yourself no directions were given that there is a proper way to leave me up.

The buffet table was small for the amount of people on the cruise. The prawns were small & you could tell they had been frozen and defrosted as the quality of the prawns was poor for a ‘seafood buffet’. Service was good though & the staff were very friendly.

Service: I would have given 5 stars except because of the train fiasco, i rang ahead as I didn't think my friend and would make it even though we managed to get a taxi from Turella train station it was touch and go. I asked the reception if they could still let my niece and husband board ( as they were over from Perth and i wanted to shout them the cruise )and if we didn't make it so be it that we would forfeit those fares. The answer I got was no even though i quoted the booking number etc. My email address was the same name as my credit card. I think in those circumstances with the rail network going down there could have been some understanding shown. We did make the cruise with a few minutes to spare and thoroughly enjoyed it as did my Niece and Husband.
Product: It's just always a wonderful way to see the harbour and enjoy a lovely lunch.

Service: I would definitely recommend Captain Cook cruises. We had a lovely day and found the staff outstanding. What a beautiful harbour to cruise around.

We did start out with a small problem where my daughter bought along an ice cream cake for my birthday and asked the staff to put it into the freezer. The cake was only put in the fridge and it melted. Your staff not only replaced our cake with another one but also gave us a free bottle of wine. And not only that we were given an extra trip around the harbour - just our little group on our own. We were more than impressed with the exceptional attention the staff on board provided us with. Every one left the boat so happy and loved the day. I don't think I have every been treated so well by staff anywhere. They were so lovely. Thanks again for a lovely day.
Product: A fantastic day with Captain Cook cruises on our beautiful harbour. Only one complaint the food does not cater enough for children. We had a 9 year old with us and not much appealed to him even though we'd paid a lot for his meal. We all thought there could have at least been fish and chips or chicken and chips or even pasta that appeals to children. Maybe worth looking into.

Service: We have been on this cruise at least four times now and have always enjoyed it very much .the only problem I could say we had was we would have liked a window seat and was told that we couldn't and yet there where tables at the window with no one at them also one waitress said she would organise our drinks and we are still waiting for her. luckily for us there was a lovely young man who helped us .yes we will go on the cruise again and yes we will be recommending it to others

Service: Service is OK. I booked a seafood buffet but didn't really meet our expectation of a seafood buffet. It's like a normal buffet in a 2-3 star hotel with seafood on the side.... The duration seems to be a bit short considering guests need to eat and see the views. We were mostly rushing up and rushing down.... Overall, it is good for a one-time experience.
Product: Not the seafoos buffet I was expecting. And the little seafood that was there don't taste very good.

Service: Seafood buffet with not much seafood & no red meat !! Dessert was very poor too & top ups were slow. Drink service was very slow had to ask for our wine 3 times, by the time we got it we had almost finished eating.

Overall the service is good, and I did enjoy the lunch with my girlfriend on Captain Cook Cruises. The recorded audio introduced all the iconic buildings (e.g. Sydney Opera House & Harbour Bridge) and spots in detail. Yet, I think the frequency of staff collecting plates could be faster so that customers do not need to try and manage the table's space so hard.

Service: The food was O.K. but not much left after the locusts had descended. Next time we'll get on at Barangaroo and not Circular Quay, before most of the food is gone. There could have been more dessert options.

The drinks service was very slow. I didn't get my wine until I had finished my lunch.

Service: Booked the Harbour Cruise for Mother's Day Lunch. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and the buffet lunch. The staff were also attentive and very accomodating. Thank you.
Product: The buffet was great value for money for the adults. However the price for the children was quite high and there wasn't much for young children to eat. Considering it was Mother's Day, and obviously children would be celebrating with their mothers, I think there should be some consideration in the menu for children.

Even the purchased latte was pretty ordinary. At this time and age of coffee machines, surely some quality good coffee can be offered. Table service average. No bread and butter plates. Tired looking place mats on table. Cutlery not wrapped. Food ok. Probably would not go for the buffet next time. Might be better with the 2 course meal. Could not hear the recorded female commentator in the early part. Noisy customers. Cold coffee. Beautiful Sydney Harbour.

Was gifted a Seafood Buffet Lunch Cruise last year form my son and had a great time. Decided to take my mother on the same cruise. Apart from the food it was like comparing chalk to cheese. The vessel was not as good, the staff were not as good or as welcoming as the previous cruise. And the biggest disappointment though was the commentary. A third of the commentary was not played, and what was played was inaudible.

Service: Three of my friends and I have been on this cruise for the past 5 years. The staff in the booking office are always very helpful and pleasant. Once on board the wait staff are also very helpful and pleasant and this year was no exception. Unfortunately this year the seafood was very disappointing. Although the price went up by $5.00 there wasn't any crab on the buffet and the prawns were not up to standard. They were very watery and not very flavoursome. I have seen the price of this cruise rise from $39.00 to $55.00 over the past 5 years and one would expect that the quality of the food should be maintained. If the food had been the same standard as it has been in the past 5 years I would have given 5 stars.

Service: My group of older ladies had a great day. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The food was replenished regularly. The only thing the group thought we needed more time, say from 12.30 departure to arriving back and circular quay at 2.30pm. Everyone dining out really needs at least 2 hours to sit, eat and chat. that's what dining out it is all about, ..one and half hours was just not enough time, it was a little rushed. We will certainly go again when the special offer is on.

Service: Ordered a beer. Waited a long time. Half way thru the meal ordered again with another staff. That came pretty fast. Later on the first order arrived.
Product: Lacked presentation, no wow factor in my opinion.

Service: the way everyone was crowded over serving table while others were still boarding there was only scrappy left food by the time i got there and was only a small amount of seafood didn`t look appetising at all so i didn`t have any seafood and only a little of the other on offer, and it was cleared away very quickly the desserts really need to be looked at there are extremely poor we were a party of four and paid $421 two of our party were visitors from new zealand quite disappointing although the trip was nice on the harbour i was really looking forward to this special time

Service: When we arrived at the wharf, I mentally groaned, there was so many people I thought this is going to be one Hugh chrush. But no, we were ushered to our window table, and all was well. The buffet table worked well, the food was great, just as advertised, we went back for seconds!

The cruise was very enjoyable - food was excellent - service very good - one issue was that the cruise was for 2 hours and I was disappointed that we called into Darling Harbour wharf within that time frame when we would have preferred to see more of the Harbour, perhaps further up the Parramatta River, especially when my husband & I paid more for a window seat X 5 people!!

Service: The greeting on land by (Captain Cook look alike) was friendly and welcoming.To make the trip more authentic a big screen depicticting the HX of sydney harbour would give a more visually perceptive view of the past.The crew were very friendly and interactive with the customers,The food was ok,a bush band playing softly and intermittendly in the background????

Service: Crew were good.
Product: Food was average to below average. I am unable to think of anything I'd go back for. Long queues, desert was empty for about 30 minutes. Mussels had no flavor (frozen) oyster poor quality. As bad as it sound the best was an overly processed surimi salad. That's not a compliment.

Service: Very long queue at buffet. It would be better if some organisation table by table could take place. The food itself was average for the main course and dessert was below a reasonable standard.
The self serve tea/coffee was appalling. The sign said both tea and were on the hot plate, but both jugs had teabags. There was no coffee there, and the coffee from the machine could only be described as coloured hot water.
We have been on this cruise before and felt its standard has declined to the extent that we are unlikely to go again.

Our group had a wonderful time. The ship itself was beautiful, staff were very patient and accommodating with our sometimes fussy seniors. Buffet was kept topped up at all times and checking food levels, she was very nice and efficient. Was also impressed by how clean and spacious the toilets were. Fantastic experience ,however our clients wish that it was a longer trip around the harbour. Big compliment to the frontline staff, definitely recommend it to family and friends. Service: Service was ok. Had to wait awhile to get a waiter to order drinks and to have the used/dirty plates removed from table. But the waiters were pleasant and obliging.
Product: Ok but not something I’d rave about. And food that I can throw together myself and I’m not the world’s best cook

Service: I found the young steward SERGIO very helpful and engaging with conversation relating to on board requests.
Product: the food selection was quite good- we had 3 adults plus 3 x teenagers and 1 x child.
Everyone found something to eat and all reported that they had a lovely meal.

Service: Cruise was great until we stopped at circular quay then a horde or asians acame on board and TOTALLY blocked food access for lunch, we were so glad we got on board at Darling Harbour

We have large group of 44 , boarding at Circular quay, half an hour later than Darling Harbour boarding. It seamed like the food serving is not enough. When the cruise come to Darling Harbour , the staff hurried clean up all the food, we thought that we would be served until the end of the trip. So some of our group members had not finished their meal. The menu did not have many selections as in advertising

Service: We thought the seafood buffet was only adequate.

As we had been shown around Sydney by a local we thought the canned commentary was very lacking in information about recent changes to the Sydney landscape. Namely the new development in Barangaro and the new casino.
To much about wartime history .i.e. wins in WW1 and 2 when you are hosting visitors from Japan and Germany.

The ship is lovely and views are amazing. However the food served at the buffet is very poor and quite expensive for what is on offer. Not much variety, not a lot of it, and not the best quality. I also got the Premium Bar package which doesn’t include spirits so I had to buy my drinks. Overall very disappointing.

Service: We took the Captain Cook seafood buffet lunch cruise and it was wonderful. The views alone were worth the trip, with everyone snapping shots of the Opera House and Harbor Bridge.

We were pleasantly surprised at how good the buffet was. There was ample seafood, including prawns, mussels and oysters and all were very fresh. They had other items as well and excellent bread to go with the meal. There is a surcharge to be seated at one of the window tables and I highly recommend coughing up the difference in price. The seating is well worth it.

We opted to have a few glasses of Prosecco and it was a nice accompaniment to our meal. The narration over the loudspeakers was generally excellent, except that it was quite difficult to hear while people chattered in the dining room. Outdoors on the decks it was much easier to hear.

Service: Extremely poor
Product: You advertised a SEAFOOD buffet, not unedabile rice, chicken stew, pototoes, sliced over cooked ham, seafood extender with mayo!!
Prawns disgraceful, mussels ok, oysters ok.
Cheese grated( who does that) . Seriously embarrassed of offering to international visitors.

Service: The bar tender was so rude and sarcastic it was disgusting. The wait staff were friendly. Other guests were using hands to serve food on cheese area. Prawns on Buffett were over cooked and looked like they were from previous days lunch. Cruise itself was lovely and really the only thing of value. Paid $19 for drink package and only beer available was Tooheys or a Hahn light - disappointing. Can’t say I’d recommend the lunch cruise with the current standard

Service: The cruise was a delight from start to finish. It began with the efficient and courteous segregation of passengers and their conduct to their allotted tables.
There was an extensive range of food. Its quality and quantity were excellent .Margaret would have liked the prawns to have been shelled and gutted. Table service was attentive and pleasant. The commentary was clear and interesting. You need to delete reference to the harbour control tower.
Product: See my previous comment. It was an excellent experience and confirmed my decision to invite guests from overseas.

Service: The table hostess was excellent. She saw to our every request cheerfully and promptly. She looked after my dietary requirements fetching me bread and desert and enquiring if I required extra. She was very polite and couldn't do enough for us. We were all very impressed with her service.

The experience was lacking in all the sparkle that the advert/listing promises. They provide beautiful pictures of the food and the harbor and you get none of that. I took my wife and mother in law on a Seafood buffet lunch for my mil's 50th birthday. We were promised crab and an assortment of salads which weren't available. We got on an older looking worn out ship with outdated decor to find two food stations with poor presentation set up on two separate sides of the ship. There was no variety, just the same selections (which were less than the promised menu but they got away with it because there's a tiny little * subject to change/availability on the menu listing). We weren't even able to finish our first plate of food before we saw them pack up the station on our end and we were advised we had to walk over to the other side to get anything additional. What we ended up with was mediocre food in both presentation and taste on a mediocre ship and some nice views of the harbor. There are so many other spectacular restaurants in the vicinity, don't waste your time or money on this.

I thought the food and service was good for the Seafood buffet lunch,
Once the food became available, there was no annoucement or explanation
of when to come forward and the process to obtain your meal, eg
line up ,on one side of the table or both sides, there should have been some staff
at the table to explain this situation.
The service for refreshments (drinks) was well done, waiting on the tables
and at the bar.
On entry at the ship the greatings and explanations on where to go, deck levels
and the ammenties should have been explained.
I believe we got value for our money especially the actual cruise and explanation of the harbour sites and history.

Service: We expected better service than we received.
Our assigned staff member did not instruct us the food was ready at the buffet nor any other instruction in regards to amenity and etc, we were basically directed where to sit and that was it.. seemed to be plenty of staff so was not a matter the cruise to be understaffed, just seem to be a matter of low grade trained staff and staff managers.
Product: often travelers from oversea worry about uncooked seafood.there are plenty of cooked seafood dish you could think of as well..

Service: Food was average. But ship was crowded. We paid extra for window seat. We could NOT HEAR any commentary from ship's speakers on any sites we we're passing. We complained to staff and their answer was that's the way it is because ship crowded. Made absolutely no effort to raise volume or help us. Acted like they couldn't care less. We booked the cruise for site seeing, not for floating restaurant. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone

The service was good but the cruise was really noisy, too many kids shouting and running everywhere. On top of the comments given it was really noisy and I even couldn't talk to my friend.
We really had to rush to eat, they closed the buffet very quickly (30 min) after we onboarded and so we didn't have time to eat all we wanted to eat.

Service was ok. When we boarded at Circular Quay for the seafood buffet lunch,we were not greeted by staff and explained where to go and just had to follow people in front of us. When we got upstairs we were shown our seats and left to our own devices.
The buffet was not well presented and seafood didn’t seem fresh.
There was a problem with onboard internet connection for making card payments for beverages and had to pay cash. Luckily we had got some money out before we boarded.
We paid for a guaranteed window seat $15pp which would of been better if the windows were washed/wiped.
The cruise itself was nice on a beautiful day on Sydney harbour but was let down by simple gestures, presentation, freshness and cleanliness.

1. I was lunching with my father (87 years old). He is not the fastest on his feet and even had a fall on the wharf on approach but every one on the wharf and on board were so accomodating and helpful.

2. The general service was brilliant. Food great and plentiful. The boat a very comfortable.

Over all a very enjoyable afternoon - on we will repeat.

Service: Excellent, on time service. Friendly staff and good food. Slightly disappointing that soft drinks not included in the price, although I understand any alcoholic drinks not being included. Commentary difficult to hear at times, although very good. Signage for restrooms invisible, at least to us.

Service: Yes, would recommend it to friends. In fact, have done so already.
Product: Excellent value. We had a small baby in our group and were looked after well once we settled at our table. We were in an open area near the bar which was good. However, you need to make it clear that it is stair access only and tricky with a pram until the stairs are clear, so that means waiting until everyone is upstairs.

We were also celebrating two birthdays and when I asked if I could light a candle, the fantastic staff member actually arranged sparklers on the cake and was very discrete so was a lovely surprise to the birthday people.

Service: The staff were incredibly lovely and professional.
Product: I felt the whole experience was really rushed, and the food was extremely average. I took my best friend as a birthday surprise and it didn't feel very special - the staff took away the food quite early to prepare for the next trip, and we had to hurry to finish our bottle of wine. The prawns were lovely and fresh but the rest of the food seemed like a buffet you would have at a school camp. I probably wouldn't recommend it again as a special occasion, as the value for money just isn't there.

Service: I excitedly chose the Captain Cook Seafood Buffet for my birthday lunch as I love seafood and wanted to do something special with my Mum and children. I was really disappointed with the food. It was a rather small selection and the quality wasn't impressive compared to the description on the website. The description of "cheeses" resulted in a choice of 2 cheeses. Dessert was a choice of 4 cakes. Would have been nice to have something other than cake- jelly, pastry, slice, icecream. I don't remember seeing any crab as mentioned in the description. A couple of the Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

Service: The drinks waitress was really hopeless and was obviously not experienced. I did not get value for what I paid for unlimited bar. I had to try to get someones attention for any drinks I had. The food was excellent.
In comparison with the dinner cruise where Francesca was our waitress (she should be promoted) the lunch cruise was a dissappointment.

The service was efficient and friendly. The boat was clean and beautiful. The food was excellent and so well done that we just walked up to the buffet and not done table by table...and it worked so well. The selection of food was not huge but perfect and different and delicious...the oysters and prawns were superb and what you would expect if you were a tourist in Sydney. The whole experience was fabulous. The historical talk was very interesting too. We would highly recommend this cruise to friends and family.

Service: Was a great experience, we enjoyed the day, we were only a small group and we did get over looked when the large tour groups joined the cruise. The one thing that could be better is the photographer prices..... we spent $100 just on the on board photos this day, but a package would have been better as we would have bought all of them. For how much it cost to get on the cruise...... the service could have been a little better.

Service: Staff where soo nice and accommodating as i had my grandmother in wheelchair for her 98th birthday.
Rena (sorry not sure on spelling) downstairs i have to mention she was wonderful.
This was something myself and my grandmother used to enjoy for her birthday every year and we hadnt been for 8yrs since her breaking a hip.

Service: Going onboard was a fairly chaotic thing. There was no indicator on the wharf of your departure. The check-in person got us to the table but did not mention anything about the procedure for catering.

The food was Ok but not excellent, however, our mistake was trying to join a scenic harbour cruise with a nice lunch. It is difficult to have both at the same time. In hindsight, we should have done the morning or the afternoon scenic cruise to enjoy all the sights in then had a nice lunch separately around the foreshore near the wharf.

Service: Service was exceptional! The food was amazing and well presented and everything was replenished quickly. The crew could not have been more attentive and the scenery and commentary fantastic and informative. A huge thank you for a great experience! Would recommend this cruise to anyone!
Product: It was a perfect way to introduce our friends to Sydney Harbour. We all enjoyed the entire cruise and could not have been happier with our purchase.

Service: Smiling staff , always there when you needed them. The food was very nice. And of course the view was the best in the world. We have recommended the cruise to many people.
Product: My husband and I took the cruise for our wedding anniversary and had a great time. The staff were lovely and the food was wonderful. We paid extra for the window seat and thought the view whilst eating was so relaxing. My only critics is: the time went too fast, I could have stayed longer

I was very disappointed with the food that was provided. My party boarded at Circular Quay by the time we boarded the buffet was a mess. Food presented on the website was so superior to what was offered

There was a group of Japanese tourist that were disrespectful to fellow passengers and staff.

Over all very disappointed.

I will complement the commentary and the information about the history.....well done

Thank you for your review of your Buffet Lunch Cruise. We allow customers boarding at Darling Harbour access to the buffet early as this is the first departure point.. This gives both sets of customers an equal time to eat, and then view the fantastic sights in Sydney Harbour. The food is replenished frequently to allow everyone access to whichever food they fancy. We always encourage guests to talk to the Cruise Director on board if they have any concerns, as they will be able to solve the problem immediately. We are pleased that the commentary provided great insight into the history and information of the fabulous Sydney Harbour.

The staff were very good,
The boat was excellent
The salads could have been better, pretty average
Seafood was good , but the alternatives were very limited
Kitchen staff need to keep the buffet well presented. Towards the end it looked poor

It was average. The boat smelled stale and the seafood was not too fresh. The staff were smiling and the booze plentiful.

Service: We had the lunch buffet harbour cruise. The food was excellent, fresh, clean, and delicious; in fact I poked my head back into the kitchen to give the chefs 2 thumbs up! The cruise was not crowded, and the atmosphere was personal and elegant. We really enjoyed the views of the Harbour after our lunch! We would recommend this as a must for Sydney visitors!

Service: I booked my mum and Dad on the mid day buffet seafood trip. They did not eat very much as they said the seafood had a small to it like it was not fresh and they did not want to risk being sick on their holiday. This was unfortunate as it was all included in the cost. They did enh=joy the narative as they went around the harbour.

The prawns were limp and pathetic the rest of the food ie variety pathetic too you could not get out of your seat unless you got everyone else to stand up and move out of the way. Some staff could not speak or understand English the only good thing was the view apart from that the food needs to be bought upto an acceptable standard for the amount of money you pay. Also the price of the bottled wine was nothing short of theft. I will never recommend this, whatever it was, to anyone

Service: Service was great, staff are very attentive and really made sure their guests are ok,smiley faces 👍👍🥂🥂
In terms of Food, loved the seafood I just wish they could add bit more .. maybe Crab claws, or scallops , overall it was good food.
The scenery was awesome without a doubt really enjoyed it🥂😎
Product: Well the scenery was really awesome , Food was alright , maybe just a few more seafood to the menu I guess , like crab claws, scallops , fish cocktails, eitherways we enjoyed our food that day.

No customer service - no return calls - no emails responded - no one at the ticket office would respond

you collect $275 from my account a failed to proved the service

As per our email the email address that  you were using was incorrect. We replied immediately once we received your comments. As you have stated that your taxi was delayed due to an accident which meant that you missed our departure. Unfortunately, we do have a schedule to keep and once the lines are removed we are unable to then come back into the berth as we have allotted slot times to arrive and depart. Normally if a customer misses our cruises there is a 100% cancellation fee through no fault by us. In reviewing what our customer service staff has done after missing our departure, was we did not charge any fee and moved your booking to Buffet Lunch on Saturday 11 November 2017 at no cost. We believe we have been very accommodating in this instance. Again, we are very sorry that you missed our initial departure and we do hope you enjoyed our buffet cruise.

The service was good but the food was disappointing and the cost of the drinks was very expensive. We were originally booked on a breakfast cruise which was cancelled. We did appreciate the upgrade to the seafood lunch buffet however if we had to pay full price for the lunch cruise we would have been angry

Service: The food was horrible! Prawns with dirty poo tubes. It seemed as if we had come on board at the end of an already ongoing lunch. Not much left! And very rushed.
Disappointing for a seafood lunch.

The cruisepart was pleasant.

Service: The whole process was great - and August looked after us brilliantly.
Product: Even though there were passengers who had boarded ahead of us (as in Kings St Wharf), the food was replenished nicely so that there was enough for everyone. The rice could have been better prepared though, too lumpy, and the self coffee area turned into a mess as people trashed the machine not knowing how to use it, Otherwise, brilliant. Love those oysters!!

Service: absolutely, we had a wonderful day on beautiful Sydney harbour we were celebrating a Birthday and therefore it was a special day and since we live in a rural town it is a treat to come to Sydney. only negative comment is that the buffet was cleared away rather quickly and to have such beautiful food one needs a rest between refills.,

Service: The ship, staff and view were great. The food this time was a little disappointing, like the asian food was watery, the fish was overcooked and the prawns and oysters were small. Generally good value.

Service: Plenty of food preparation for a seafood buffet for a lunch cruise will be perfect. We had a good time but the food was not much so I did not bother to get more even if it were a buffet.

Service: Excellent service. We will recommend them to friends and relatives. One negative was that soft drinks just too expensive for $18.00 a small or standard jug.

Had a great lunch time cruise on Sydney Harbour. The food was fresh, and there was plenty of it. There was a good mix to suit all tastes. There was also fresh fruit salad, deserts and a selection of cheeses.

Service: Ridiculous to say the least, got seated first and our waiter didn't greet us until 6 or 7 other couples were then seated after us. Food was also of poor quality.
Product: Food was of poor quality and there was a lack of non seafood options.

Product: Lovely fresh seafood...only thing to have topped it may have been the inclusion of lobster and bugs but I’m being picky. There was plenty of seafood!

commentary good, not too intrusive - wait staff courteous, friendly and prompt in service. Only thing lacking was instruction when I was led to my table - needed to be told I could help myself to the buffet whenever I was ready because I wasn't sure if we were supposed to wait to be directed.

Service: The views, of course are always exceptional when you are on the Harbour, but enjoying the Seafood Lunch with great company and great staff the day was just perfect.
