Service: The food was delicious and the wine we ordered passable but exorbitantly priced for what it was. The waitress tried very hard but her English was almost non existent and she couldn't answer a single question we asked. Surely on a cruise of this nature, mostly for tourists, she should be able to identify what is out the window. I had been told there was a commentary on the second turn around the harbour. When there was silence, I asked again. No, no commentary I was told. Our visitors had to endure our commentary instead. And then someone went to the toilet and heard the commentary downstairs! We would have gone down had we known. All in all, I was very disappointed and would definitely not recommend this to visitors.

Service: The host was excellent, entertaining and attentive; both gentlemen on board were fantastic!
Product: Overall the food was delicious...especially the prawn pancake and the goat's cheese and beetroot tart. However the 'hot' savoury food was not that hot or fresh I suspect and the mini cupcakes were dry and had a pretty terrible taste, the scone were also a little dry.

After finishing our complimentary glass of sparkling wine we enquired, and subsequently purchased an additional bottle of the same, ie Brown Brothers Zibibbo Rosa. This retails for approximately $13.00 a bottle however we charged $58.00!!! Based on this alone we would potentially not book again

Service: From start to finish ALL staff (especially Arina our waitress) were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Couldn’t fault a thing. Food was plentiful and very tasty. We were celebrating 2 special birthdays and had sparklers on our dessert which was great! The boat itself was very clean and tidy and decor etc was in great condition. Thought with the constant use it might be a bit shabby but it wasn’t at all. It truly is a top-class floating restaurant that could hold its own anywhere. One issue we could see was the lack of a lift to the top deck. My husband is recovering from a knee replacement and found it quite difficult to climb the stairs.
Product: Great value for money. Only disappointment was that we thought the boat could have cruised further than it did. It seemed to go very slow compared to every other boat (big and small) on the harbour. We all agreed that was the one and only thing we were slightly aggrieved with.

It was my sisters birthday suprise I asked if we could sit in the private room and they said yes
The staff seated us in the private room
Reset the table and catered to our every need
The service was outstanding and my sister really enjoyed the experience. I would thoroughly recommend for any age. My second time going for high tea and I will be back again. Views on the harbour were spectacular boat was smooth and very enjoyable.
Product: Have been to high tea twice now it would be nice if the menu was updated , always nice to experience something slightly different each time

We had a party of 23 for a long lunch. Janaki looked after us in a private room on level 3 at the front of the boat. Excellent room with a balcony for a large group. The food was very good, meal sizes not large. I highly recommend this experience whether a group or a couple. Thank you

Food was good but the quality of the boat and interior was very average. It wasn't organised and they kept changing to the boarding location without any notice. We had to go and find out.. We rang and they told us to board on one pier but then we found out it was wrong. The speakers were terrible and they went very loud we had to block our ears.

Service: My husband and i had an absolutely lovely time on the lunch cruise, food and wine were superb. Staff were so helpful and polite. Would highly recommend you do this cruise.
Only criticism is that i thought it was a guided tour with someone explaining the sites. A little disappointed that we didn't know exactly what we were looking at.

Service: We had enjoyed the Captain Cook Top Deck Lunch for almost 15 plus years and only had one bad experience when the Air Conditioning broke down on a very hot day.
However our recent experience was pathetic and I put it down to cost cutting at the expense of quality of service.
We booked a TOP DECK LUNCH expecting to be seated on the Top Deck as we had the last 10 or 12 times, with very intimate service, lovely offering of a variety of breads with olive oil etc,and after lunch coffee and top ups on the extended long lunch.
However we did not get a TOP DECK LONG LUNCH instead we were "coralled into the 2nd deck along with everyone else on board" those that had ordered Asian Lunch, High Tea, etc, we were sent to the front of the boat along with about 40 other patrons and given a table Number 61 in the corner with timber pannelling almost completely blocking our view. we requested to be relocated to the usual seating on the Top Deck and were told it was not available. Even to be relocated into the centre of the ship would have been a more pleasant position however it appeared to be allocated to those patrons having High Tea??.
The only reason I can see why this situation arose was that the manager decided to position everyone on the one deck so that he required less staff to cater for the day.
Cost cutting at the expense of the customer.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH !!!
You cannot sell someone something called a TOP DECK LONG LUNCH and give them a MIDDLE DECK SLAP UP TUCKED IN THE CORNER.
Captain Cook Cruises have changed for the worse and the only positive thing is that you gave me the opportunity to tell you what we thought of your changes before I went onto facebook to warn others of your new practices.
Product: Cost cutting at the expense of the customer experience.

Service: Unfortunately the sound system was not working properly and we could not hear the commentary. This was our first trip and we especially wanted to hear about the hatbour highlights. Very disappointing. There also seemed to be some confusion with staff service maybe more training required. Meal and weather was grear though.

Service: We boarded at Circular Quay and were shown to our table. Not long after we were offered water from the carafe - this was the last time we were offered water. Our entrees were served very quickly and they asked if we would like to wait to our mains-we said yes. They then came out not so long after. We pulled into Darling Harbour for the first time and the waitress asked if we would like our dessert now or did we want to wait. We said we'd wait. As we got around to the harbour bridge, we were given our dessert. We said, when asked at Circular Quay, that we were staying on board as we had booked the Long Lunch Cruise 3 1/2 hours. In retrospect, we should have got off. The food was great, but the drink service was virtually non-existent. No one asked if we would like coffee or offered to replenish our water and having already been on the first outbound trip, we did an even shorter version - not sure why you sell it as a 3 1/2 hour cruise.
Product: Please read all my comments re the service, or lack thereof. From where the boat turned around and started heading back to the wharf at Darling Harbour, the staff were more preoccupied with moving tables, chairs and setting up, presumably for the evening cruise.

Service: The staff was okay. After we complained they explained that there wasn't much fish at the buffet this time, which was really disappointing.
Product: My family from Germany came to visit me in Sydney. I wanted to take them on a cruise around the Harbour with Seafood. We were all very excited and couldn't wait to get on. To say that we were disappointed in the food and the cruise in general would be an understatement.. Nothing was as it was stated on the website.
I wasn't aware that chicken and roast were considered "seafood". There was one type of fish and some oysters, the rest was rice, chicken, roast and a few salads and some dry bread rolls. We took a photo of one of our plates to compare to the photos online. Online we were promised a variety of fish and prawns and not just dry fish and oysters. After telling the staff, they had some excuse as to why there was only two types of seafood. The food was absolutely miserable and a waste of money. We should have gotten fish and chips from Circular Quay, it would have not only been tastier and more authentic but also not a complete waste of money.

Service: Overall the experience was very good and the food and the service excellent.
However the were a few minor issues that were a little off putting - We had a couple of older people in our group and all the stairs to get up to the dining level and then up and down to the toilets was problematical and it was a reasonably hot day and the air conditioning was not fantastic and it was difficult to get out side to get some fresh air as there seemed to be a couple of private functions going which limited access to the deck areas.

Service: When we booked onto the cruise, there was no indication that the lunch was to be conducted upstairs. On arrival to the boat we were directed to go up the stairs where lunch was to be served. My wife is disabled and could not climb up the stairs. We were seated on main deck level, a table was prepared for us. We were seated alone in a rather large room with a window seat. To travel all the way from south west Victoria to see the Harbour on a luncheon cruise was on our to do list. Our experience was disappointing to say the least. There was no ambience to the occasion. We will not be recommending any of your services to any of our friends.
Product: Should we have received the service you advertised it was good value. however in our case your advertised experience fell way short of expectation.

Wonderful cruise. Fantastic service.
I was suppose to take a lady in a large electric wheelchair. Luckily she was sick and wasn’t able to attend I had rung and was told the John Cadman was wheelchair accessible.
I had explained it was a very large electric wheelchair. I had plan ed to rebook for the lady in the wheelchair but on checking while there the ramp is very steep and at the top there is a thick metal bar which the wheelchair would be unable to navigate.
Must be very careful when you say wheelchair accessible. Need to clarify. It would of been awful if I had brought the lady and been unable to access the John cadman.

Service: We had a lovely cruise the food was good the service good and the wine was good.
The boat was clean and tidy. On the voyage we did see a lot of the harbour but could have gone a bit closer to see manly wharf as we had friends form South Australia with us.I am not sure if they did tell us but we were not aware for a while that the information was only on the top deck. Would tell anybody to do this trip thoroughly enjoyed it..

The 2 entrees we had were both very ordinary - Tiger prawns, and the Ravioli pasta.
The Tenderloin main course was very good.

We had a party of 9 - the food was fine and the waiter service was fine, except our 'fine' waiter advised us the cruise was over once we had returned to Circular Quay at approx 2.15pm and we all disembarked. Upon later research we realised we had been short changed by an hour and half! The issue was also mentioned by another of our party members via on line complaint . - The situation was an obvious misunderstanding by the staff member of the cruise length, we are sure he did not knowingly mislead us. Some of our party were quite satisfied with the cruise to that point anyway and had basically seen enough. Overall the experience was enjoyable
however we have missed an opportunity to enjoy more of Sydney Harbour !

Product: Food was average, if the focus of the experience was the lunch it was disappointing, I treated myself to a cocktail but was less than impressed with what i got they didn’t even have a umbrella! This was a once in a lifetime experience for me but i felt letdown there was no flare no special touches what i got was a boat trip around the harbour and lunch there is so much scope for that to be turned into something special but it wasn’t and the trip gave itself an early mark, i realise there wasn’t supposed to be commentary but that too would have made the experience better, considering lots of people on the cruise would have been visitors to Sydney some explanation of what we were seeing would have been good, the dressed up “captain cook” seemed to be trying to blend in rather than sell the product I’m sure if he was more vocal he could attract more business fo you

Service: I have to say I was very disappointed to say the least.
The sparkling rose on arrival was rather nice but the children were given two orange juices with no option to change to apple juice or similar.
A surprise to get deep fried spring rolls and sausage rolls on the middle tier of the plates. Also, on the top tier there were 4 minuscule sandwiches between the 4 of us ( one each)...
We asked for wine once our sparking was finished and had to pay straight away-we could could not start a bar tab-unheard of.
The commentary of the harbour was a recording-it was therefore much less personalized and it was also extremely quiet-almost inaudible.
The idea of a harbour high tea cruise was much better than the execution. I would not recommend and will not return :-(

There was smoked salmon & oysters..... I don't eat raw fish nor oysters so all I could have was the chicken plus prawns. Would be nice to have maybe some cooked fish & maybe some beef. Just not enough variety.

Service: The entire Long Lunch Cruise is conducted professionally, from the boarding of the boat to the disembarking. Location of tables, service by staff and the range of food are all very good. This was about the 8th cruise we have done and all were good. Recently we were on the smaller boat than before and I would probably lean towards the larger one for experience. One little issue which I'll mention, without a solution is, the issue of the double trip which we have taken every time and enjoyed. Perhaps a clearer explanation to guests as to their options and the procedure would be helpful. We have felt , on a couple of occasions that we were not welcome to stay on for the second tour around the harbour, when the Afternoon tea group boards. Could I suggest a possibility that you consider some token addition to the Long Lunch guests who stay on for the second run of the harbour. Perhaps a glass of bubbly at the same time as the high Tea guests get theirs, or a cup of tea or coffee simultaneously. We took our daughter on the last Long Lunch recently , which was her first time, she enjoyed it very much. But she was puzzled as we set out on the second tour around, all the guests on the other side were getting their high tea and we were sitting watching the harbour views. I just think, if you offer the second tour around, then some form of inclusion would not go astray. I know everything costs money but you do really want all the guests to feel they are part of the trip for the whole of the experience.
Product: I have just written a fairly complete comment in which I said we enjoyed the Long Lunch and this is about our 8th such trip over the last 2 or 3 years. I also suggested some attempt to include the Long lunch guests on the second Harbour trip for the afternoon with the High Tea guests would not go astray.

Service: Although there were a very small number of people booked for lunch the service provided by staff was very poor. They confused the initial drinks order and forgot the coffee order at the end of the meal. We were given a basket of bread rolls for 4 people but no butter. When I asked for butter it took a long time to deliver and there were only 3 pieces of butter
Product: We were upgraded to the long lunch as not enough people had booked the buffet. We would have preferred the buffet as I assume there would have been a greater choice of dishes.
Also I paid extra for window seating but on the day there were so few customers that everyone had a window seat.

On a positive note the food was beautifully cooked and presented

Unfortunately I had a very noisy, large group next to me whose children screamed and ran around the whole time, which didn't make for as relaxing an environment as I would have liked. However, that is not your fault. I was offered additional champagne, possibly as an apology, and appreciated it.

My one regret is that we weren't given any information about the harbor or points we were passing, which would have been interesting and appreciate.
Product: I thought the sweets could have possibly been a bit better, but otherwise it was a nice tea service. I did appreciate that we could have more than one pot.

- Food arrived promptly which was good. Food was above average in quality, except for the desserts which were on the smaller food court like appearance side.

Since this is my first time experiencing it! For mother's day,I paid a high-tea cruise for my mum, sister and l to spend some quality with her as she is always working and barely home! We loved the whole experience! (Mostly my sister as she was excited for the food 😂!)

As my mum quote 'It was a nice change of view!' as we usually just let her sleep in, do house chores for her and make breakfast in bed!

But overall we enjoyed it! I will love to do it again sometime! I just wish that there was more variety types of food!

Service: The experience was very disappointing! We were on the same "mother's day cruise" 2 years ago and we spent the entire afternoon cruising the harbour and it was great day! This year we spent most of the day docked at darling harbour 2X and Circular Quay 2X - We spent at least 1.5 hours stopped at the dock than cruising the harbour. When I asked the lady she said its not a special cruise but a normal afternoon cruise which differ from what i was told when i booked over the phone.

Service: We took our Aunt out for a seafood lunch cruise for her 90th birthday. We could not have asked for a better day. The harbour was superb in all it's a glory on a picture perfect day. The food was excellent and plentiful and the staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond to make our aunt's day very memorable. They brought out the cake after lunch and even sang Happy Birthday to our aunt. She loved it and said it was the best birthday she had ever had. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough.

However this being my 3rd time on the boat within 3 years I wasn't impressed with the food variety and quantity avaliable.

My previous visits the buffet had a much larger variety of options and serving sizes much larger

Desserts and fruit salad was disappointing.

To be honest i dont think I would choose this cruise again once seeing the other buffet lunch cruise options on offer for same price.

The food was fresh and varied. We paid extra for window seating and the window was very dirty making it difficult to see through. We were hosting friends from overseas and were embarrassed with how the staff discussed the drinks bill at the table. We didn’t request NRMA discount voucher for the online lunch reservation because it was difficult to know how to do this and the staff on board did not know how to apply on the drinks bill - a $5 discount on a $60 bottle of wine was not 20% discount. We were not as fast as others lining up for food so there was little left which was also disappointing. The seafood was fresh and tasty though.

Service: It was the day before Easter weekend and it was as if the staff were non existent. No-one came to take an order for drinks, we had to ask for water and go to the bar ourselves for our drinks.
We also thought that the seafood was tasteless. We invited a friend for his 80th Birthday and have been on these lunch cruises before and really enjoyed the food but this time it was very bland. So disappointing.

Service: We would definitely be back! We chose to do this cruise the same day we arrived in Australia for the first time-I was a little nervous about how my near 8 year old would do but according to her this cruise "Was AMAZING!!!!" and "I will remember it for the rest of my LIFE!!!". Her first high tea and the crew was tops. We were welcomed with (me)-yummy pink bubbly (kiddo)- fizzy drink of her choice. I took a time lapse of the entire trip which turned out quite well. I did feel the savoury nibbles might have been more towards adult tastes--was it onion/beetroot chutney mini pies??? (menu is online--readers can double check on their own)-- just keep that in mind if you are pondering going with a youngster--I traded my daughter some of the adulty food tastes for more kiddie one (so I missed out on a sausage roll)---was definitely not a direct mirrored plating (ie: 1 each of something for each guest it felt like- at least on our table). Not a complaint just an observation in case someone is expecting a 1:1 plating. Anyway.... High tea is up several flights of boat stairs--level up before top deck, a nice well windowed room. If you are facing the front of the boat I would definitely choose to sit on the RIGHT side as majority of what is being commentated will be out that side of the boat for most of the time. We sat front left and still was able to see quite a bit. We are allowed time out on the deck--take photos, lots of opera house and bridge opportunities. There was a professional photographer taking photos of us at our table for an extra fee per photo-- thankful for that opportunity to purchase those as it's hard to do so traveling alone with a youngster. I would suggest to the boat, that possibly not all speakers were functioning at 100% in the high tea area? I felt like sound was coming / aimed more towards the (facing front) right side of the boat--it might be beneficial to have small helper speakers scattered more towards the sides where the boat curves--I felt maybe we missed quite a bit of commentary- especially when the larger groups on the (facing front) right side of the boat were chit chatting all at once. I can imagine with a full tour commentary might be extremely hard to hear with the entire area chit chatting away. that said for other passengers...maybe keep that in mind... if you are wanting a cruise with tea for a tour commentary-and the tea is packed full...be aware you might not hear everything...the actual harbour tour might be a better fit.

Service: The staff were lovely. We had been 12 months prior and enjoyed our time so much we booked again. However this time I felt the variety of food was not as much and there was no commentary as we cruised around the harbour. I was disappointed with that as we took our daughter this time and there were foreign visitors also enjoying the lunch, but had no idea what they were looking at.
Product: It would have been nice to know what we were eating. There was a vegetable curry, that was a bit too spicey for my daughter. She put it on her plate not knowing exactly what it was. It would also have been nice to know what cheese was on the board. Tags please.

Service: My boyfriend took me for my birthday, I loved it and would recommend the long lunch to anyone. Had the best day ever. Perfect present for the young and old. Had champagne for the first time and the 3course meals were amazing. Service: Customer service could have been improved. The waiters were more busy cleaning up for later events than coming to follow up with coffee requests or drinks or whether things were oK. Need better staff training in hospitality. It was good not to have people/ tables too close. The cruise was nice. We appreciated the 3 yr old twins being invited to see the captain. It was nice to have our birthday cake delivered by staff.
Product: My husband's pasta dish had something hard, a piece of ravioli or pastry. He complained to the waitress. The children's meals were good. In general the meal was good and enjoyed. 2 guests wanted soft drinks but told there were none only juice. Disappointment for them.

My only disappointment and also my fellow interstate travellers was the actual cruise, basically all you do is keep going back picking up and dropping off, I have seen more of Sydney Harbour on every other cruise I have done, no out to Watson Bay, into Rushcutters bay, nothing really, it is the actual cruise journey that lets your company down big time, it was universal that none would cruise with you again if that is your attempt at showing off the worlds best harbour,

We had a fabulous time aboard Sydney 2000. It was our wedding anniversary. The staff made us very welcome and even organised for our fellow passengers to give us a round of applause. The bar staff shouted us mocktails with sparklers. We also met another couple sitting near us from Tasmania and by the end of the cruise we were organising to visit them for a holiday.

Service: I had booked for 36 people for my mums 60th birthday party. We have been on the Captain Cruise for the Seafood buffet lunch before which I was very impressed with, however, unfortunately this time I was extremely disappointed with the quality of food and the poor variety of food. I was extremely embarrassed in front of my friends and family making them pay $85 per head for terrible quality and terrible variety. A seafood buffet should include grilled fish, cold crabs or bugs, smoked salmon, oysters, and cold prawns. Unfortunately at this event, the only seafood offered was smoked salmon prawns and oysters. Also the non seafood options were terrible. The vegetable curry was awful, it was so obvious the veggies were from the frozen variety and their texture was tasteless and resembled cardboard. The salads were lacking substance and the roast ham was sliced roughly and was so salty.
I have enjoyed RSL food for 1/4 of the price over this buffet. It was so sad that mum didn't enjoy the food at her 60th birthday and I will never book an event or take the gamble that the quality will be as good as it used to be. It was way too expensive for the poor variety and so embarrassing for your lovely staff to be serving such a boring lunch.

Service: I’ve been to captin Cook high tea cruise before and I really enjoy it howevery this time I booked it to my family who were visiting from oversease, the experiene was really really bad, they were very laye in serving us food, all the table got their high tea except us almost 30 min after the cruise started. We also requested for all the food that has Pork to be removed and they brought it only fruite and vegtable which is a vegeterian menue we did not ask for. They took another 30 min to provide the food and we had less that 30 min to finish our food it was ruched, we also needed water but could not find anyone to ask there were no service till the end of the cruise they arrived and we asked them for water and coffe and they replyed that the cruise ended. It was soo bad we did not enjoye it

Lovely cruise. Beautiful boat and friendly staff with delicious cocktails.
It was advertised as a seafood buffet however there was only smoked salmon and cold prawns as the seafood - no fresh fish or scallops or any other seafood. Only chicken and curry and rice and salad. I was disappointed, as I’m pescatarian (I don’t eat meat, only fish) and also celiac so I can’t have gluten - which meant I was limited to smoked salmon and salad and a couple prawns.

Service: The service on the cruise by the buffet staff was excellent - the bar staff seemed a little lost at first - could not find drink lists and had to wait for someone to come and help when we paid cash. Everything was really done well - boarding was smooth, food and beverages done well and nicely presented, staff all very accommodating. My only reservation, speaking as a tourist, is that it would have been nice to have a nice-but-limited commentary as to what we were seeing on the shores. We passed some interesting looking things and it would have been nice to know what they were. Again, we had a very nice time and I'd say we received good value-for-money.

Service: From purchasing tickets online to the lovely food and quick service to our seats once on board, this was very good.

The only down side was the 'circus' in getting aboard. Signage was not available to say that seafood buffet patrons were to gather at the bow of the vessel, and the other type of cruise were to gather towards the stern. An employee of the company (who was patient and trying his best) was assailed by many patrons requiring clarification with lots of shouting of directions and inability to be heard. Felt like being herded like animals...this could have been better handled to have a better experience.
Product: The seafood was very fresh, and there was lots of it, near empty trays were replenished regularly, there was a good choice of other food to pick from. The vegetable curry was particularly good.
Was not made aware that there was a coffee machine and filtered coffee available in another area.

Service: Easy on line booking experience. We boarded on time and were shown to our window table which had great views of Sydney harbour. We were served drinks quickly by a friendly and helpful member of staff. The buffet lunch was exceptional - great choice of seafood and salads. There was also a hot option (did not sample) as love seafood. Nice range of desserts, cheese and crackers. Coffee/tea available. Enjoyed informative and entertaining commentary about the harbour and it’s history. Great views of the Opera House and bridge. Would strongly recommend.

Service: The staff went out of their way to ensure that all went well and I was impressed with the way your staff reacted to a great influx of people especially at boarding time.
Your bar and waitress staff were exemplary offering top up drinks without having to wait until the drinks were finished.
It was my wife's birthday and the cabin waitress, without any request being made, produced a small cake with a sparkler - very thoughtful and to the delight of my wife.
The buffet food was good but somewhat frantic due to the number of guests at the buffet table.
All in all the buffet cruise was great value and I would recommend anyone to take the cruise.

Seniors Seafood Buffet Cruise – Captain Cook Cruises 17/02/2019 Review
The staff in the booking office were very pleasant and courteous as usual.This was the 5th or 6th year that 3 of my friends and I have been on the Seniors Seafood Buffet Cruise. Last year I complained about the absence of crab on the buffet and also that the price had risen by another $5.00. This year again there wasn't any crab on the buffet. In previous years there was a couple of meat dishes and a vegetable curry which was quite nice but there wasn't any meat except for some ham swimming in some kind of liquid and some chicken drumsticks also swimming in some kind of liquid. Also the price had risen by another $4.00 making it $59.00. I don't believe that the food was up to standard and there wasn’t much of it. Next year the price will probably be well into the $60s mark and I will be seriously considering if it is worth attending again. The quality and variety of the food was even lower than last year and I’m sorry but I can only give 3 stars as the standard has dropped since 2017 when I would have given 5 stars.

The Tyrells moon mountain which I buy on special at Dan Murphys for 20 dollars a bottle was the only average / decent quality wine available .

We hoped for better.
One glass of the Mawson had to be taken away . Obviously the bottle was open too long.
As I said , everything else was so good. Why let yourselves down with the wine list, especially today when so many people enjoy food and wine matching .
Anyway we will be back , but I hope this aspect improves . I’m happy to help with the wine selection if u ever want help.

Service: The cruise, the setting and the 3 course meal were all excellent. If I were to be critical it would be the slight evidence of confusion among the staff early in the cruise with their approach to addressing the drinks arrangements, the selection of the menu choice and then the actual bringing to the table. We seemed to sit for a long while with no contact on any front while some other tables were into their second course. There seemed to be a need for someone calling the shots and organising who was to go to which table etc. Another minor point, it is a pity there isn't a lift up to the top deck floor. I am having mobility problems currently and the steep steps presented some slight problems.

Service: I had read a lot of the negative reviews before booking and was a bit nervous I’d picked the wrong company but our experience was awesome! The service was great, very attentive and we had absolutely no problems getting drink service. The food was really nice and there was plenty of it. The Staff were really friendly and good with my 2 kids (3 and 8 years old). The views of course amazing. Overall totally worth it! And would definitely recommend.

Service: Food and Staff were Excellent. Marketing was confusing and ultimately a let-down. In buying the premier tickets, we expected we were going on a 3 hr full harbour cruise with commentary and a nice lunch. Instead we were going for a nice lunch (it was) on the harbour and getting shuttled between stops for the convenience of others, so we got off an hour early. That there was going to be no commentary was not evident until the money had been paid and it was on the receipt. It is all about managing expectations - if we had known what we were going to be in for we would have had lunch somewhere else and bought a 'proper' cruise, with commentary.

Lovely helpful staff from start to finish. From the order point on the phone, to meeting and serving our lunch. Couldn't be nicer. Food was great and arrived promptly.

The only comment I would make is to change your menu advertised on the website, as it was the 2017 menu and I thought it hadn't changed, but when the day came it was a bit different which was a good thing.

Service: All staff were extremely pleasant and efficient and well presented. Food was good but could have been hotter.
Our waitress, Eesha (sp) was especially efficient and attentive to our requests.
Ship was very well presented and clean.
Our guest was celebrating his 80th birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Product: Cruise was 3 1/2 hours and we thought that the route would include more of Sydney Harbour than it did.
The route was repetitive with time spent at Circular Quay and King Street Wharf. Last 1 1/2 hours a waste. Cruise to Manly, Balmoral, Hunters Hill & Parramatta River would improve experience.
We had no commentary in the top restaurant.

Service: Had a great time, I would rate 4 1/2 star rating. Service was a little slow in getting drinks once ordered, but food was great. Maybe some live entertainment would have been good even a solo guitarist singing songs for an hour or so . Other than that no complaints & would certainly recommend to others :)

The only downside was the food - it was initially served upon boarding and then food service stopped within an hour of our two hour cruise. More food would have been nice as we didn't get to eat everything we wanted...

There was no non-dairy milk for coffee to purchase (i requested soy milk, a standard at all places now). The ham, one of only 2 meat options separate from the seafood, ran out an hour into the cruise. It took the chef over half an hour to produce more, by which time you had to be quick to collect dessert because eveything began to be packed up 20mins before arriving at circular quay. The automated coffee machine started to produce watery hot chocolate with minimal cocoa (compared to earlier in the cruise) towards the end. A stunning boat, friendly attentive staff, but terrible food options given the cost.

Service: Drinks waiter confused our order and brought us a $55 bottle of wine (after charging our credit card) instead of a glass! Disappointed not to have the crab salad we had last year. Having said that we had a great outing, food was excellent and the trip was good value. Would certainly recommend it to friends. We have done the buffet lunch around Christmas 2 years in a row and would do it again next year.

Ship was clean and beautiful, food was brought out straight away and constantly topped up - so no-one went hungry and the bar service excellent. We picked a terrific day and the boat was only about half full. Great commentary even for locals to learn more about our beautiful harbour. Only down side was the cost of a bottle of wine - $60 was a bit over the top for a $13 bottle

Service: Our group have taken this buffet lunch cruise 4 times over the past 5 years and this year were very disappointed with the experience. The buffet was quite limited, and not a lot of choice. One of our group had been on the exact same cruise 2 weeks earlier and the choice was better. The desserts were very poor with limited variety of fruit (the cheapest available it seemed) and the drinks were extremely expensive........$11-$12 for a glass of wine is highway robbery. On top of all that, the section was only half full and we were still crammed in with barely room to move, especially eating with no room to move your arms. Whilst we appreciated the window seating, we could not move from our seats backing on to the window as there was no room to move the seat back even a few centimetres to get out !! The staff came around taking our serviettes 45 minutes before the end of the cruise, like they were stopping guests from further eating. We will seriously not consider this again next year for our group.
Product: Very disappointing choice, limited compared to previous cruises with same company. Expensive drinks.

Service: We booked the Sirius private room for a group of 21 and had a very relaxed and enjoyable day. We were well attended throughout the cruise and I couldn't really fault it for the amount we paid. Amenities were all very clean and modern. We did however choose the premium drinks package which everyone had to be on (although about four in our group did not drink alcohol) - and on the day there "was not" Little Creatures beer on the menu as is advertised in the example drink menu on their website. Nor was there a suitable replacement for this. That was the only disappointment.

Service: We received poor customer service. There was only one food station for the busy cruise and we needed to wait I. Long lines. Food ran out and wasn’t replaced quickly or left completely. Staff were in attentive and needed to be ask for assistance. Not good enough!

Service: The cruise was well organised, table seating was perfect - spaced so each table had ample space - , general atmosphere was quiet enough to talk and our waitress was genuinely lovely. The food options covered many dietary requirements and the food was really delicious. My friends can be hard to please but raved about the food.
The long lunch option is recommended as the shorter option would have meant we would have been rushing our meal. I would definitely recommend this option even to Sydney siders.

I would just like to say that your customer service is above and beyond, from all levels of your staff from the waitresses, admin, chefs, doormen nothing was too much trouble.
Everything about booking this venue has been made trouble free, all of the staff that myself or our guest dealt with were more than competent.

The actual cruise was great. The food was also good also maybe a little more variety would be better. I would have rated it 4.5- 5 stars stars however the manager was very rude, it was a lady, we explained we booked a buffet lunch and was told by Olivia the person we booked with that it would be 3.5hr cruise and after 2.5 hrs we were asked to get off the boat. when i tried to explain this manager was extremely rude did not want to listen.She just wanted to know why we didnt get off when she asked. Her service was absolutely discussing. Its a shame she ruined the experience for our group of 15. The manager needs to work on the people skills and service. The rest was just great.

Service: The overall experience was good but could have been great with the front desk experience from the pier and wharf desk. We had over 35+ guest for long lunch cruise and was placed in the private section of the ship. It was such a beautiful experience. Our staff complimented on the 3 course meal. It was delicious. We had a hiccup with guest seats but they quickly got that rectified and hassle free. They were accommodating.

The only bad experience I had was when the Pier desk only printed 25 onboard passes but I had increased the number of guests since my initial booking. The wharf 1 desk did not believe that I was supplied short and refused to provide the right number of boarding passes even after I have collected all 25 passes from all our staff to physically show her. Pier desk should have counted the passes to match what was on the amended record document. Luckily, I had the print out document. So she asked that I showed it to the staff onboard. Also, I was told that I could arrange the drink package when we get onboard but later asked to do so at the wharf 1 desk before the ship leaves so I had to run and pay this at wharf 1.

It would also be good to know when the desserts are being served. Most of us was on the deck and didnt realise that the dessert plates had been placed on our table.
Apart from that....It was good, and enjoyable experience.
Product: The food was delicious! Our staff compliment on the variety of choices. It was perfect!

What you can do is have more varieties of food, More desert it ran out fast, the coffee, chocolate machine side of things didnt work, Drinks too expensive, boat was late

Service: This day was to be a special occasion for us and all the arrangements were to our real satisfaction.
Original booking was courteously handled; our personal table by the window was well selected by staff and both the meal and table service were professionally presented.
Product: four stars indicate a high standard anyway and as we all know, there is always room for improvement.
Perhaps some commentary on the later stages of the cruise (after lunch) would be appreciated by guests.

Service: we enjoyed very much our cruise, the waitress that service us, Vivian was great , very helpful with my kids, she made our experience very lovely

the cons,
it was a bit disappointing no having help to take the pram up the stairs to the top level - as we have an infant 5 months old with us and she was asleep

it would make our experience more enjoyable if the cruise offer some extra service for the kids - also a different menu for kids under 10 year old, as my son 5 year old had only one third of the main meal

Service: The staff on board were exceptional, making my Mum’s 90th birthday amazing. Our table placement was good. Also the surprise birthday cake and the singing was really great. My Mum was so surprised. There was a good variety of good food and was replaced as soon as the plates were empty. A very pleasant day seeing the sights on the harbour.

Service: The entrance, the food, the drinks, view and ambience was amazing. However, I would recommend to wait with cleaning the tables after guests have left.

They started asking ''can I take the tray away'' 30 minutes before the end, and made us feel very rushed. Moreover they took our tea away shortly after, when we would have loved to drink some more. It felt a little rushed and I think it would add to the experience to wait.

Service: Bookings were quick and easy. E-mails were concise and informative. Security regarding who I was when picking up the tickets was studious. Pleasant interactions with departure crew. Shipping crew were diligent in safety. Dining staff were friendly and fun to talk to. FOOD WAS DELIGHTFUL. Harbour in all it's splendor is to God's credit. Service: Booking office staff great as we were running late , waiter staff were all brand new and being trained so was a little frustrating as they were doing some random stuff and we had to keep calling them over to ask for things . The meal was nice but felt very rushed - it could have easily been spread over the whole cruise rather than crammed into the first hour - especially as they were only 7 other tables on the deck .

Service: Staff were without exception attentive, professional, friendly and accomodating. Food and beverages were plentiful and of great quality. The entire experience was very impressive - we enjoyed the relatively casual lunch cruise buffet. The decor was stylish and well maintained. Commentary about the harbour and attractions was welcome but not intrusive, we listened at times and ignored it easily when in our own conversation.
Product: Seafood was plentiful, nicely presented and topped up promptly by staff as required. We thought the quality of shellfish was very very good. Salads and Warm dishes were also appealing and tasty.
Tea and Coffee freely available and dessert with cheese and crackers also attractive and tasty, with staff kindly ensuring we knew about it (we were seated near to main buffet, well away from dessert station).

Service: The vessel was well presented and the staff very courteous. Food was of a good stansard and well presented. We were on the Long Lunch cruise and we were disappointed that their was no commentary . We also paid for the drink package and found that once all course were served the staff seemed to slow down on the table service . We are not big drinkers but I don't think we should have to chase staff to ask for a drink.

Service: The one stand out feature of our trip on Wednesday 24th October was the young lady that looked after us that day. We were up on the top deck for a long lunch. As I do not remember the name of the young lady perhaps you could look at your roster and tell her what asset she is to your business. The food was of a very good standard and the cruise itself was very enjoyable. The only criticism we have would be the dessert. We feel that they should serve cream or ice cream with the slices as they are a little dry without anything. Once again our congratulations to the young lass that served us, WELL DONE.

The cruise was lovely and the lunch was delicious!
We did a lot of research before selecting the Long Lunch Cruise which was supposed to have been about 3 1/2 hours, but in the end it was only 2 hours long. We could have stayed on board for another loop around the harbour, but that would have taken another two hours and we would have missed our collection time. We should rather have chosen a cruise with a proper commentary.

We had booked our cruise for March. However, my wife suffered an illness just at that time which put her in a wheel-chair. Captain cook Cruises were very helpful in allowing us to postpone our cruise, which we then had two weeks ago. We are very grateful for the assistance we received getting on and off and for the personalised service given to us on the lower deck, by the lovely and friendly staff.

It is a big thing for us, that despite disability we can still enjoy so many things in life.

Service: We booked a bar package. The service was a bit slow at first, we had no drinks for 15 mins after boarding. Felt like we were being rationed. Eventually we got served but I would buy my own next time. Very relaxing.

A great choice of meals which catered for all tastes, cooked perfectly and presented well...Taste sensational. The length of cruise was such that you were not rushed to eat you meal and could take in all the sights and enjoy the whole experience. Loved every second of our anniversary cruise.
