Service: The staff were very friendly. Any question we had they were able to answer. The food was excellent and the environment very nice - very important for a Christmas lunch cruise. We would certainly book for another cruise in the future.
Product: It was very good value for money.

Service: Excellent service, food and good value. A nice easy way to spend Christmas Day
Product: Great way to spend Christmas, however, would benefit from a Christmas option for the mains (ham and turkey).

Service: Lovely to dine, wine and view the harbour. Food was good and staff friendly/ efficient. Key issue is lack of accessibility to the sky deck for people with limited or no mobility noting these people have paid a lot for their meal up there and I don't recall there being advice on the website about lack of lift to or lack of toilets on the sky deck (apologies if I am wrong). I do not have any mobility problems but my guest did. After struggling with her cane up the flights of stairs, she was only then told that the toilets were on the bottom deck and so she had to "hold on" until after the meal when we were leaving. I am pretty sure that you have responsibilities under the Disability Services Act about enabling access when providing services and can't see why a disability access toilet could not be built on each deck - including for the older/aged of which there were a fair few on the sky deck. I was really quite shocked that a company like Captain Cook did not provide for this. Sad to say, I will be checking out things further in the new year.
Product: See above. The vessel needs to be able to provide fair access - it is reasonable to expect an access toilet on each deck especially at the prices charged for the meals.

Response from Captain Cook Cruises: Dear Customer,

Thank you very much for your feedback. Our accessibility policy is located on our website, and clearly states "Sydney 200 has full wheelchair access". The gangway angle is however quite steep: approximately 1 in 5. Customers have independent access to the lower deck (Show Deck) only. Accessible toilets are located on Show Deck. Due to HSE regulations, CCC staff can not physically assist any passengers to the upper deck. this includes customers who require wheelchair access, the elderly, the infirm or people with rams or stroller" We apologise for your misunderstanding.

Thank you once again for your feedback.

Kind Regards,

Service: Boarding was again a shamble. Paying over $300.00 per head, we expect priority boarding for Sky Deck. Food, beverages & decor were 1st Class. Service was below par this year. Had to constantly seek / call staff for topping up drinks, extra bread rolls, spoons to eat our desert.as such, did not consider we got good value for money on The Sky Deck this year.
Product: Same comments as per Customer Experience

Service: This was the 7th year that my brother and his family and I (5 people) have done the Christmas lunch on the Sky Deck and by far the most disappointing. We all agreed that the service wasn't as good as it had been in previous years. We felt quite rushed - although the cruise duration is from midday until 3.00 p.m., by 1.40 our first dessert (the trifle) was served before we had even finished with our main course. The Christmas pudding was delivered a few minutes later. We may have missed coffee as we went outside for a short time between about 2.00 and 2.30. Coffee wasn't offered but we also had the feeling that, given there was a card on the table with coffee prices, that coffee wasn't included in the price of the package. The food was fine except for the jelly in the trifle which was very rubbery. It's a great pity because we have always enjoyed our Christmas Day on the harbour, but we will probably look for an alternate option next year.
Product: Not as good as the previous six years. A little disappointing

Response from Captain Cook Cruises: Dear Customer,

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are disappointed to read that the service on your cruise wasn't to your standards. We can assure you that our staff are trained to provide our customers devoted and efficient service. The timing of our courses is designed to provide customers ample time to both enjoy their meal whilst also leaving enough time to appreciate the stunning views of Sydney Harbour, so we apologise if you felt this was not the case on this occasion. We always encourage guests to talk to the Cruise Director on board if they have any concerns, especially regarding food, drinks and service as they will be able to solve the problem immediately. Please be assured your concerns have been forwarded to our catering and hospitality manager.

Thank you once again for your feedback.
