The Captains Dinner Cruise is the signature a la carte dining experience and comes with the Captain’s seal of approval. Cruise on the prestigious MV Sydney 2000* and enjoy quality a la carte dining, a comprehensive wine list, live music and dancing, all set to the spectacular backdrop of Sydney by night.

The Captains Dinner Cruise features an expanded food and wine selection, upper deck seating plus great live music and dancing. The beverage list earns top marks with an impressive selection of Australian wines and imported ales on offer.

Expansive windows throughout our vessels offer superb viewing no matter where you are seated on the vessel, however if you prefer you can guarantee window seating at a small additional charge. Bar packages are also available with a choice of standard or premium wines, or soft drinks for the kids.

Infants under 4 years are free of charge if you bring along a meal from home. Otherwise the full menu selection is available at reduced child prices for under 15 years. A special Children's Menu can also be pre-ordered on request.

Cruise aboard Sydney’s premier fleet including the spectacular Sydney 2000 and John Cadman 2, both with million dollar views and expansive cocktail decks. Our world class vessels are chosen for many international VIP dignitaries including the official arrival of Pope Benedict XVI for World Youth Day. Air-conditioned restaurant decks, private dining rooms, expansive decks and 360 degree open Star Deck are just a few of the features. Special attention has been made to ensure fantastic views from every seat with below table height windows. Sydney 2000 operates on dining cruises most days however we do always reserve the right to amend vessels at any time.

Service of staff was excellent. Very friendly and observant. Dinner is ok , nothing fancy and the menu needs to changed at least once a year. Steak is good quality and well prepared. Product: Booked the Brialliant Dinner and The ticket mentioned that you may be upgraded complimentary based on availability to the entertainment area. Mum really wanted entertainment so called on the day of the cruise to see how this could be guaranteed. An upgrade fee was charged which is understandable if high in demand however, upon arrival to the vessel, there were many empty seats. I just found it a little disappointing that we were charged given there was room to move anyway.

Service: Had an amazing dinner sunset cruise with Captain Cook Cruises. Everything was perfect and I would definitely recommend it! It’s a great way to see Sydney from the water, especially at night watching the city light up. The food was delicious and catered to vegetarians and vegans too. The service was fast and the live music was entertaining. I would do it again in a heart beat!

Service: I booked the Captains dinner, premium wine package and window seats but did not find this value for money. People very close to us paid far less and their meal seemed very similar to ours. Service on entry was very slow.

Service: We had a delicious meal, a good choice of vegetarian dishes. We paid extra for a window seat so we had a wonderful view throughout the meal. The staff were friendly and efficient and our waitress advised us to go out on deck between main and dessert course which was great for taking photos.

My family did the captains table cruise as we figured it would be a nice way to see Sydney and have a meal. I was little hesitant when booking as the cost was high and I wasn't sure if my girls aged between 4 and 12 would enjoy it. So glad I did though our waitress was amazing she made sure everybody at the table (including the kids) were happy. The pianist and singer were amazing and when the girls weren't eating the delicious food they were dancing up a storm. The waitress saw my happy birthday badge I picked up earlier that day and brought my desert out with sparklers while the singer and pianist sang happy birthday to me. The night was finished off on the top deck overlooking the amazing views. PERFECT.

Service: We purchased CAPTIANS DINNER which says uarenteed window seats but because we booked 5 we did not have a window seat.
We purchased Premium Drinks but twice I had to go to bar to ask for drinks to be delivered. I ordered and gave my card to pay and asked for them. Thery asked me why I was doing this and I said becuase it is the only way I can get the drinks to my table.

Service: While we had a great night there were some areas that should be improved to make it a sensational evening for the price we paid. It was the view of our party of 12 that the mains were exceptional but the entree was quiet small and desert was disappointing. The alcohol package was very limited with only one beer offered and not possible to pay the difference - more variety needs to be offered. The band/ vocalist failed to attract people to the dance floor and most went downstairs to dance - upstairs was deserted. The staff were very good and attentive and it should be noted that they did everything in their power to make it a great night.We have been attending these cruises for about 20 years and hope to continue but that will be up to the management to make it more attractive than this year.

I specifically chose this cruise because of their policy that supposedly accommodate specific dietary requirements. I followed up by email to check what they would provide for dessert as often it is something she doesn’t eat. After initially being told that fruit salad was the only option, I asked to speak to someone more senior. At this point they offered sorbet, which I said was fine. Although in my opinion still a poor effort given how many options are easily available.
When we actually went on they cruise, they gave her fruit salad!
This is just hopeless service considering we paid $200/head for our group. We could have paid much less to get the same lousy service.
Also, I couldn’t believe they charged me $3 for a cup of tea after paying $42 each for the drinks package.
On the plus side, the staff on the boat were very good as was the rest of the food and entertainment.

Service: The atmosphere, music, location, and ship were all first class. The food was okay. But the table service was terrible. We paid $340 for our dinner, but couldn't get a glass of wine to our table while we ate our mains, entres, or desert. We had to keep asking. The evening was a great experience from boarding the vessel right through to disembarking after the cruise. The food was fantastic and the service from all of the staff was excellent. It made our final night in Sydney exceptional.

Service: Meal and service were fine. Disapointed to be in the main cabin as opposed to the small cabin forward which is more private with an open area in front. This is what we have had on the past 2 Captains dinners we have enjoyed and expected the same this time.

個人で参加しました。サーキュラーキーから乗船して、ダーリングハーバーのお客様が乗船するより前に我々のテーブルは前菜が終わったいましたが、メインの料理はなかなかサーブされず、後から来たお客さんの前菜、メインが来た後に、こちらから指摘して初めて料理が来た。指摘したときも男性の給仕さんは我慢しろという高圧的な態度でした。
スタートが30分違うので、体感的には1時間待たされた感じで、非常につまらない食事となりました

I would say 4.5 Stars
The Premium Beverage Package we purchased was slightly deceiving as it did not state Premium Wine Package(which is really what it is) and because it stated Beverage we thought the bar would be included. any liquor drinks were not included. and so it was not any savings over purchasing the Premium package. The food and service were EXCELLENT!

Was definitely not worth the money!!!!!! Entree consisted if 2 prawns and a lettuce leaf. Very underwhelming. Also the music was very old, not suitable for a younger crowd. We had a 21st birthday snd found the atmosphere boring and dull. Would not reccomemd

Service: We are gold members of Captain Cook and have done the Dinner Cruise numerous times. This time we were thoroughly disappointed with our experience.
Firstly, we paid extra a window seat and extra for standard bar drinks. Also at time of booking, my wifes food allergies were mentioned.
To our surprise, basic spirit drinks were not included in this package which previously they had. Even coffee and tea was not covered, which should be complimentary anyway considering the cost of the tickets.
Secondly, after being seated we studied the menu and selected our meals. When it came to ordering, my wife wanted to order the Salmon dishes for entree and main,however, the waitress looked perplex,and said there was no Salmon on the menu. After investigating with the kitchen staff it was discovered old menus were put out,not really good enough excuse from a professional organization.
Thirdly,when my wife's main meal came out it had potatoes on it which was one of her allergies again not good enough in this day and age.

We will now be very reluctant to do this dinner cruise again or recommend it to our family and friends.

Service: Lovely view from the upper floor of the cruise ship. Food and wine very good. Service excellent with dancing and the most gorgeous views of Sydney Harbour at night seen through large glass windows. A must for visitors. Very elegant ambience.

The table service was great from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour then the service went downhill. Try to get drinks and our main meal after receiving our entree almost as soon as the cruize began then 1 hour at leat to the main meal. Then when it come we had no mushroom sauce on our beef? The cruise and staff on the boat were teriffic, but the boarding process leaves a lot to be desired. It was confusing where to line up and queueing for the boat blocked the traffic along the warf. It was enough to question whether to try a different operator next time.

Great experience, staff were friendly. Food was nice but could have been warmer. Had to ask for water and butter. Scenery was great although it was restricted by the roof from where we sat in the middle of the floor, esp when trying to see buildings during vivid. Wandering up on to the roof provided spectacular views.

Service: Awesome boat, great service from our friendly waiter. Food was superbly presented and very tasty. It was one of the highlights of our family trip to Sydney to see the lights of Vivid Sydney.
Product: I would recommend getting the Captains Dinner - and paying extra for a window seat. The windows are very big and the views are great!! The Captain's Dinner is served on the top floor. You can also walk up to the very top level to take perfect photos. Our family was in Sydney in early June/19.

Expensive trip and poor service . Food was only just ok. Everything felt rushed and unorganised. We had paid for the drinks package and never got offered any drinks only the complimentary ones. Seemed reluctant to give us a drink..had to show confirmation explaining this and waitress didn't seemed to understand a word! clearly language issues...whole experience embarrassing. Also would have preferred to have been in the same room as the entertainment..wouldn't recommend sorry

Service: We had a great night BUT we had bought the extra wine package with the dinner and there was no wine waiter and to get more than the first glass of sparkling wine required a lot of perseverance. The waiters available were all genuinely busy but the wine service or lack thereof let the whole experience down.

Service: High quality harbour cruise experience. Staff are professional and curtious and the vessel is maintained to a high standard. Have done the top deck cruise several times and the food and total experience is always enjoyable. Highly recommend this experience.

Service: The staff were friendly, and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The only thing was waiting and the staff letting people push in when waiting to board
A bit disappointed, we were Sat behind an advertising structure, not good for pics, neither was the dirty windows, they made reflectionss of internal onboard when trying to take pics. We couldnt go outside together for pics as this meant leaving our stuff at the table

Service: My friend has a speech impediment so they assumed in a all drinks inclusive package he had too much to drink. We tried explaining but not worth the effort speaking to undertrained RSA staff

Warmly welcomed on board however, waiter didnt know that we had a dinner package which included drinks and wanted us to purchase our drinks (lucky I had my paperwork with me to confirm that we had drinks included!) also, had to keep asking to have water filled up during dinner.
Meals were nice however, 1 entree came that was wrong and had to be taken back and 1 dessert was wrong but we ate it instead of changing it as we had already done that with the entree.
Overall, disappointed with the meal and service :( as this was to be the highlight of our trip to Vivid in Sydney, cruising on the harbour with dinner on the first night of Vivid. It wasnt horrible - it just wasn't what we had hoped it would be.

L’accueil est correct.
Le navire est superbe.
Notre table était située du côté de la baie vitrée permettant d’avoir une vue imprenable sur la baie de Sydney.
Le menu, composé de 3 entrées, 3 plats et 3 desserts au choix est très copieux et goûtu.
Tout le long du repas, une chanteuse accompagnée de son pianiste, nous fait part de son répertoire varié.

Un grand bravo pour l’organisation de cette croisière 🚢

No complaints about the staff......they were pleasant and did their job well, but the cruise of viewing the vivid displays was a let down with the boat just going from Darling Harbour to Qircular Quey and back again about 3 times.......the cruise of 3 hours was far too long for what was on offer.........with a lot of passengers wanting to get off after about 2 hours at one of the visits to Circular Quey wharf, but we’re not permitted to do so........all had to wait till the boat returned to CQ about 10.30!!! The cruise did not live up to the hype!!!

Service: Having purchased the drinks package, I thought staff didn’t come round enough to check if we needed more drinks. Also the wine glasses were very small.
Product: Dinner was better the last time I went on the Harbour Cruise. Dinner was not hot enough. Drinks not free flowing enough with the drinks package.
